Today is my 5 month anniversary. I am severely depressed. I am stuck at a 81 pound loss and my 6 month anniversary is around the corner and I was hoping to lose 100 before December 6, 2002. Any hints would be great you guys. Hope all is well for you all. I am praying for approvals and speedy recoveries for you all.God Bless.

Teena, wow, girlfriend, what can I say? You look totally awesome! You were already beautiful before surgery. You are going to stop traffic soon! Rock on!
Please don't feel bad. I had my surgery one week after you and I've only lost 32 lbs. My Dr. said not to worry about it that I was doing fine. Also, I am on a steroid for my arthritis so they told me that my loss would be slower because of that. Since you are now lifting weights you are probably toning and building muscle so that is probably why the scale hasn't moved much. I bet if you measured yourself you have lost inches. I went though a plateau already for 2 weeks so I know what you feel like but it will pass. Keep up the good work. Mandy Kennon
Teena, plateaus happen for a reason! Your body is just resting and adjusting to all the changes. You lose inches during your plateaus! Just keep doing what you're supposed to be doing and it will be over soon! Best wishes to you and big hugs!
Teena-Don't crawl back in that shell we have all been hiding under. Keep up the great work you are doing. I imagine you are just experiencing some muscle weight, but this is going to really help boost your weight loss soon. I bet you are losing tremendous inches though and you will soon see those scales move. You are a beautiful woman inside and out and please persevere. This too shall pass.
Hi Teena - Don't beat yourself up over your first plateau. I think that if you follow the board closely and listen to everyone's advice you'll get over your plateau. I am not post op but have heard a lot about getting rid of carbs during your plateaus. Have a great day.
