congrats teena!! i know what the waiting is like! i am 5'3 and i am at 263!! i was approved and my surgery date is set for june 6,2002!! too bad we didnt live closer but hey if u wanna chat let me know and stay intouch it would be great! i am nervous but excited! good luck!!!

Hi Teena, Just let me say thank you so much of your words of kindness on my surgery tomorrow. I have to tell you I read your personal comments and I hear what your saying. I really do think you have the right perspective and will do really good with this surgery because you seem to be a person who is in charge of her own mind. I wish you all the best Teena. Teena, I am wishing you a successful, complication-free surgery and a smooth, quick recovery. I had my open RNY on 12/10/01 and can honestly say that I have NO regrets other than not having done this several years sooner. It is, without a doubt, the best thing I could have done for myself. God bless you as you begin your healthy new life.

My new surgery date is June 6, 2002. I am so excited. I never thought that this day would come, but it is 53 days away. I am so excited and so prepared than ever. My consultation is May 6, 2002. Now I have to prepare for surgery by taking Procrit to increase my red blood cells because I am very anemic. I wish you all well.
