~~J~~ Angel bustin' on in here! Dovie is ready for the hospital and already has her suitcase packed. She has 17 days to go until her surgery. She has an appointment with Dr. Burrowes on July 16th to have some extra work done and get registered at the hospital. Everyone please come by her WLS page and leave her a word of encouragement. Dovie, I just want to encourage you to hang tough with regard to your surgery. You are going to do well and I am so excited for you. I look so forward to the day that you are able to do all the things that you have longed to do for so long... This journey is one which I'd not trade for any amount of money. The life that surgery has given to me is priceless... I love you and I can hardly wait for you to begin your new life...

Dovie thank you for your nice email and your well wishes for my father. you were asking about my incident this morning there isn't a whole lot more to add........I wok up with a head ache and just not feeling up to par....shaky and cold anyways being I am a nurse I decided I would check my blood sugar...and it was very low so I knew I needed to get it up.....not as easy when you can't eat sugars anyways I had some cocoa sugar free but with enriched milk it brought it up a bit but only to 58....so I then had a fruit bar...... checked blood sugar again and it was now 64....still low so I had some cottage cheese and finally got it in to the low 70's still low but now in danger. I didn't think to well @ the time because I could have made a few better choices that might have raised my blood sugar faster..... I will talk to the Dr. on Monday and let ya know what he says..... in the mean time I am going to just keep checking my blood sugars....I think a contributing factor could be all the added exercise as that will lower your blood sugar as well....... so might just need to raise my protein to the maximum of 59 grams.... to control the problem.... I will keep you posted..... Congratulations on your up coming surgery.... I know you are getting nervous and excited.... I read your profile and I can see how you have had a struggle getting to this date.... hang in there my friend you will soon be enjoying the positives of WLS. hugs and God Bless Maureen

Dovie I feel we have been friends our whole lives. You are a wonderful, warm and caring person with so much going on. I wish you the very best in life. After your surgery you will have a new birthday with a new beginning and I know that new Journey will be so beneficial to you. Your a great person. As you get thinner don't loose that dynamic personality of yours. I wish you a safe surgery and a comfortable hospital stay. My prayers for you won't stop. God Bless You.
