In the Pure Protein brand, Ive had the chocolate and strawberry. Im having a hard time finding a good strawberry in either the RTD or powder form. I guess its all in what you get used to. The Pure Protein isnt my favorite, but its only 3 WW Points for 23 grams protein. Low sugar.

As far as RTD goes, the Muscle Milk (regular, not lite) chocolate is good. I like the new container they have. The one that is NOT the cardboard style carton, but the plastic bottle. The Oh Yeah! is pretty good. I LOVE the Atkins Mocha latte, but again, less protein.

For powder, I like the Jay Robb is pretty good. I really like the dreamscicle. Its a creamscicle! I also use the Body Fortress cookies and cream and chocolate peanut butter. Those two I'll add instant ground coffee to! Isopure is really good, but expensive.

About Time is YUMMY as well as Chike. The only click I dont like that I tried was the hot cinnamon bun. Yeah, not so much.

Jay Robb and About Time you can purchase sample packets. I tried alot of different flavors ordering from VitaLady. I would buy 10 packets and keep a list of the ones I liked.. and didnt.

I could go on and on...and on about protein shakes. I struggled with them. Oh, and I mix mine with Unsweetened Almond milk as I cant do milk and dont like to mix them with water.

I do like the About Time Whey Strawberry proteins.
Not sure if you tried that.  All natural - whey isolate. If you have not tried - you can go to their site and order the samples... It is not very sweet (they use stevia) so I do add more stevia when I make my shake. I like that to use with my Greek yogurt..

Wonder if my cat will like them?

2:00 am that's just crazy... if you ask me...
Some days I go to bed at that time... I know that is bad.

Yesterday I was working in "the field" (project we are doing for another company), and really working all day in manufacturing environment , hard hat, steel-toe boots, etc.  I was bending and reaching and working hard with my hands, sometimes, on my knees...  As hard that was on my body, I had a lot of time to think about other stuff.  Something I can't do when I am at my desk job...  The physical part was great... and I knew I was getting a very good work out.  But at the same time... I got really busy and forgot to eat.  I did not plan to be there whole day, so I only brought with me some protein shake and cheese sticks.. around 3;30 I started getting feeling really hot... (in an open - drafty area - provably close to 60F,).  I took off my thin jacket and continue working in short sleeve.  For some of you that guessed that - my BS dropped... that's why I got hot... Not eating really does not work for me.   When my hearth start raising, and I started sweating, and shaking,  I eventually realized that my BS is low.  But I also knew that a cheese stick would not do.  My protein bar and glucose tablets were in a car (now - that was stupid not having any with me, considering my BS issues) .  I was able to get to the car and took 2 tablets, and ate protein bar (20 gr carbs, 9 sugars, 18 proteins).  What was unusual about that,  is that I was not really hungry - an had to force the food on me.

After that - I worked for another hr and went to eat some more food.   At least that score me seeing my BF...he decided I need to eat real food. Again - got a few bites and was done...  I do need to be more careful..

Today I woke up hungry... and will be in the office... so I will eat more food... need to stabilize my system.  Today it is eating on the clock. At least that is the plan...

coffee + coconut milk
flat-out wrap with cheese and Canadian bacon
protein shake
chicken soup with egg (eggs to add proteins)
yogurt with proteins or protein shake..
meatloaf with cucumber
maybe a few whole grain chips... or an apple if I buy them.
LNS: cottage cheese

Isn't it funny sometimes how we can be feeling great and kidding around and all of sudden just feel like we are going to pass out.  Every time my BS gets low, I get hot and flushed in the face and my hands and legs start shaking like I am freezing.  I scare my husband half to death a few times.  He now keeps PB crackers and protein bars in the truck, in the car and at his office, any where he thinks I might be and need a fix.  Gotta love that man!!!

KWYM...
I explained to my Bf what is going on with me when we become exclusive.  He is a great guy. He knows I have to eat every 2-3 hrs or else.  He keeps my protein bars in all his cars...also (no chocolate) and when he cleans the car (often) - he takes them out and he told me they are the first thing that goes back into the car... Yet- even when I do some stupid thing (like yesterday) he takes care of me and does not even try to make fun of me or gives me hard time.   He knows that I am so hard on myself...

That part of post op RNY - the low BS - I hate with passion... lol...

I have thrown a scare in my family a time or two.  I carry glucose tablets with me.  A few times protein has not worked and had to take 2 glucose tablets.  "knock on wood" I haven't had a low since I got back on track January 3rd......let's pray it stays that way.
Have a blessed day!

Today is day four of the pouch test. I feel really good except that I feel hungry ALL THE TIME! I'm pretty sure it's indigestion so I just follow up my meal with tums. I think I need to try a stronger antacid. It feels great eating like I did post op. My calories were on point yesterday and that made me happy. My taebo tapes should come today! I'm so excited!! Here is the plan for the day...

Breakfast: one egg two egg whites and a wedge of laughing cow cheese
Snack: vanilla EAS shake
Lunch: boca burger vegan patty with pasta sauce and parm OR chicken salad
Snack: protein coffee maybe some laughing cow on celery too
Dinner: ground turkey tacos (in a lettuce shell) and roasted bell pepper
Snack: Greek yogurt with pumpkin! Yum!!

Have a good one!
