I'm thinking of getting my first tattoo and I'd like it to have something to do with my WLS and the date - 3/24/08.
I was thinking of having it on my upper arm. I kind of like the idea of having the Phoenix because symbolizes re-birth.
Anyone have any suggestions????

Thanks!

google pictures to really get an idea of what you might like.  it is a life long decision and you want something you can really love.

Phoenix with the date is a great idea, the only think I wonder: is it something you are willing to talk about anytime someone asks you about it?

Congrats on getting a tattoo!! YES, they do hurt but can have meaning behind the pain. lol When I lost my first 100lbs I got the first tattoo and was heart felt.I wanted to always be there for my grandkids and my first grandchild had the most reason behind the surgery. So I got Asian writing with the words "Nana" on my right back shoulder. Then later when I lost the 250lbs and went on a cruise for a first time with my family that really had meanings also. I couldnt hardly walk to a mailbox and back without falling out of breath before surgery. So went to Key West on a stop off on the way to Bahamas and got one there. Once again was Asian writing this time on the left back shoulder. Had "twin" wrote on that one. It has alot of meaning because went with my twin sister on the cruise and we both got one there. So am thru with tattoos... I know I am such a REBEL lol.... So make sure to let us know what you get.

Karma....What would life be without it?  250lbs gone! 410/160... Life's sweet!

I think thats a great idea.  When I reached my goal I got a monarch butterfly to symbolize my transformation.  It is a good reminder to stay on track!

good luck
