  Hey Members,

"If a few of your OH friends came to your house for a visit and decided to fix lunch for you, what would they find in your food pantry and fridge?"  Be Honest!!!

Right now mine is looking good, just cleaned it out.  Lot's of fruits, veggies and such from the farmer's market.  I love this time of the year. Now we are not going to mention the ice cream in the freezer   because I didn't say freezer

Fridge: fruits, veggies, Greek yogurt, low fat cheese, good other cheese, lean meats, butter, garlic, great oils, some homemade dressing for a salad, cream for coffee, and eggs - got to have eggs.  Add turkey bacon - and i am in heaven...
and some precooked food... i.e. salmon cakes, and some baked chicken...(they would find it today) on top of that, flat-outs, and some freshly made tzaziki sauce.
In my freezer - they would find pre-made and portioned stew, chili, burgers, etc.
Also frozen fruits and veggies, some fish, and shrimp.  on top of that  - some coffee - got to have my coffee and even - homemade  - protein ice cream.

Then my pantry have bunch of canned fish, veggies, chicken stock, protein powders, and some healthy protein bars.  Some herbal and green teas and lots of vitamins and supplements.

Do not forget about nuts and nut butter - got to have these, some crackers and some all natural – full of fiber dry breads – like Kavli.
I probably can feed a big group.  But then my pouch is picky and I do not know day to day - what it will like to eat...

When I look at it objectively, my fridge isn´t too bad!

The first thing I see are my protein shakes. I keep atleast 8 cold ones in there, because that´s what I have for breakfast or when I´m feeling anxious and visiting the fridge way too often.

There´s eggs and 5 different types of cheese, I have bread which only my daughter eats, there´s grapes and apples and pears and broccoli and cauliflower, onions, garlic, yogurt, hummus, way too many condiments and salad dressings which I never use and should really toss... There´s lettuce and eggplant and peanut butter, cream cheese, carrots, sliced ham, butter, regular milk, half and half, sour cream, whipping cream, my husband´s leftover dim sum (which I didn´t touch, go me!!!), my daughter´s vanilla cookies, her fruit juices, string beans and some anchovies that have been in there since the beginning of time!

All in all I think my fridge rocks!

Ooops! I forgot the pantry. I have canned tuna, canned veggies for emergency use, olive oil, spam, raisins for my daughter, small peanut pouches for my purse, more condiments, canned soup which is probably past it´s expiration date, lots of different types of pasta only my daughter eats, pasta sauce, mac and cheese for emergency purposes (daughter starving, no time to cook)..

and in my freezer about every kind of protein imaginable, all kinds of meats and chicken and fish and pork and bacon and almond slices and carb smart ice cream for when the urge strikes (if I finish a tub before two weeks is up, I make myself wait to buy a new one, that way I never overdo it.)

and that´s it. Whoa.

Thank you.  I was worried that I am the only one who has so much "stuff"
