Does OH have a walk or sponsor a walk?
Have you ever walked for a cause? Raised money for a cause?
I have found that walking and running has helped me as much as I have helped them!
I have never donated to a worthy cause and later had regrets about the money, but I have spent money on food, gym eqipment, supplements, self help gimmicks and  later felt horrible remorse about that waste of cash!
Just some things to think about! This is certainly the time of year to find a weekend 5K and put your best foot foward and makes a monitary donation in exchange for some honest and true exercise with some wonderful folks!
Thanks Jen

Go to www.walkfromobesity.com . They have dates in many cities where walks are held. I've done the Walk in Vegas past 2 years. Ours is held in September. Vegas walk is very small compared to other cities turn outs.

Last Saturday I walked in the American Cancer Society's local Relay for LIfe.  This is near and dear to my heart as almost two years ago we lost a son to cancer.   I have walked many local"cause" walks.  And I enjoy volksmarching as well.  Although Florida has very few events - mostly Year Rounds as it gets so hot here in the summer few folks want to be walking 10K (or even 5K0 walks
