Being scared is so so normal. I went between being excited for a new beginning and being scared I might die. I figured that I would most likely die from an obesity related illness so I needed to go for "it". Just do one step at a time. It is a lifetime journey. I would make the same decision over again if I had to. Be sure you have great support & ask lots of questions.

All I can say is keep plugging along. I know in the beginning I ran into several obstacles. But, eventually it all worked out to have the surgery. Hope all goes well.

I am new at this.. I have my 6th dieation apt on Aug 30th and I also see the dr, I was going to have the lap band but I was told that my hospital will not do the band on someone who's b.m.I is over 60, and mine is and I am so scared .. ANYONE with info or words of wisdom.. I would like to hear them.... thanks
my name is melissa and Iam 29 years old as of the 15th of may, I am going through the steps to have the lap band, I could use some advise about the surgery and about what to look for before and after surgery, I also have a big hernia they are doing to remove during the lapband, I have had 2 diation app, this month will be my 3rd, I have to travel 6 hrs from home just for my apts. I don't like that at all. Any ifo anyone could give would be very helpful, Thanks
