Congrats on your RNY....I LOVE MINE!!!! Don't get Frustrated!!!! I think 6 pounds in 2 weeks is Awesome!!!! Are you comparing weight loss to LW's or people who have a lot to loose? I'm assuming you had to be on some kind of a "diet" before surgery and your body is probably reacting to that too. Did you take your measurements? It's pretty amazing how the inches come off even when the scale doesn't show big losses.
A couple of things you don't want to do is compare yourself to others and get down because you don't feel you are losing it fast enough. Being a lightweight you will be at goal sooner than you think. You will probably start hearing "you have lost enough" comments from family and friends....DON'T BELIEVE THEM!! Trust the scale and don't stop on your own!!!!!
Keep us posted!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Good Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!
WOW...life has been busy lately. DH kept telling me our scale wasn't accurate which was starting to worry me. When I had my recheck from being hospitalized the Drs. scale proved mine is right on....YEAH!!!

I throw out a lot of food when I eat out. I used to hate wasting the food and would save it for later. Now I remind myself that I paid to enjoy a meal, I have enjoyed it, and now I am done. I still get a little hung up on the waste of money but unfortunately that is what happens when I eat out. My husband and I do try to split meals. We both had the vsg so we try to split appetizers or something smaller.
Also, I feel like crap when I eat out. I use that to keep me in check because I know how bad I am going to feel after. It can definitely be a struggle.

You just barely started this process! Your body isn't at its losing capacity yet. But yeah, you weigh little enough it's likely it will come off slower. My overall average is around 3lbs per week (I'm around 22-ish weeks out from surgery).

You won't know until it happens. My stomach and breasts are a hot mess, but my arms and legs look normal.

Hi all,
I had RNY on June 19,2017. I'm 5'5" hw 228 SW 206 cw 200. I'm a bit frustrated I thought my weight would drop off faster. I'm doing everything dr says but 6 lbs in 2 weeks. Ugh I look at others and they lose much more. I know that the less heavy you are harder to lose I think. Anyone struggle with this
