My Big Fat Head

I wish there was a WLS for my head. I remember those glorious days from about 3 months to 12 months post op where food stopped calling my name and for the first time in my life I knew what it was like for "normal" people. I was free of that constant preoccupation with food.

Anybody else have a big fat head like me?

Yep, will graze non-stop if given the chance. I must eat protein and low carb to battle the bulge because my head is too old to fix.

I have a fewer fat head moments these days, but I'm still a fat head! You are not alone.

My eyes do not work right either. They always think food portions and clothes sizes are smaller than reality. DH gets lots of leftovers and I keep returning the clothes.

hehe. I have to get the portion sizes thing working better too, so they more closely resemble what I can comfortably eat so I'm not trying to take that one bite too many.

Remember the clean plate requirements growing up? Did your parents ever tell you you had to finish your dinner to get dessert, or you had to fini**** because children were starving in China?
Africa. It was Africa at my house.

And once "Biafrica". Is there even such a place??

Yes. It was India at our house. I remember it well.

With my own children my rule was, "You have to taste it. If you don't like you don't have to eat it, but you gotta try it. I'm only cooking one meal so if you don't like what I cook, cook what you like yourself. "

My sons are in their 20s, 6"1' and 145#. They don't have my eating issues. Thank Goodness!
