OT Please Pray

My son and daughter in law are trying for a baby and this is the first month they are using a strong fertility drug that has to be injected. It costs $3,000 a month! I had no idea. This is their life savings and they don't want to get into debt so please pray that this is a success. They also have a 1 in 5 chance of having twins, which would be wonderful but a single baby would be equally as wonderful.
They want a baby so bad and I know they will be great parents. They are great with their nieces. I had to use fertility drugs, too, to get pregnant with this son and I got pregnant the first time I used the shots so it would just be awesome if it works that way for them, too.
And, on the selfish side, I really want a grand son! I love my baby girls to pieces but after 4 girls this family is ready for a boy, but again, God's will be done.

I'll be praying for them. My DD had a hard time getting pregnant and took all kinds of medicines. After a couple of years, it finally happened for her. Hope it happens for them this first time!!

Thanks! They actually have been trying for several years, at least 2, but this is the first time with this new fertility drug.
My daughter in law has PCOS and she is trying to lose weight because of course it could have a positive effect on getting pregnant. I wanted to talk to her about WLS since I have heard of many women who have gotten pregnant after having it but I don't want to be insenstive. I also don't think they would want to wait another year or two to try but my son said if this doesn't work they will be looking into adoption.

Oh Tazz...I'm definitely Praying for your Son and DIL!!! It took me over a year to get pregnant with my first DD and I still remember how awful it was. You get so desparate that it turns into an obsession that is terribly painful.

I remember that feeling, too. It took me 4 years to get pregnant, even though we adopted our son pretty quickly. To this day it still feels like a miracle, both my sons. They both came right when they were supposed to. They are best friends now.
Because of the length of cycles it feels like it takes forever. Pluse DIL hadn't had a period in years when they first started to try, due to being on birth control pills for years. I just pray that this is their month.

My niece tried a long time and now has 3 children that they adopted from Russia. It's crazy how much they look like her and her husband.
