Good Morning. No Topic, but stuff to say
Newton is in my lap and wants attention. It's very hard to type and come up with a topic when he's being so cute and needy
Let's see...
Have you noticed any personality changes since you lost your weight? I think some let the improved self confidence get out of control but what have you noticed about yourself? I tend to get distracted from everything non-WLS related more easily. It's probably the pro-addiction part of my personality coming out. I've focused on WLS and the people I've met through my journey to the extent I've let other things go. Not so good in some ways.
What about you?

Hard to say because everything for the past 3 months has been centered around this darn knee. Before that, yes, I was more tuned into WLS type of stuff. Spent more time here but also more time out having fun. I concentrate more now on how I look. Not to the extent of wearing makeup but at least thinking about what clothes I am wearing to meetings and such. that has been hard too with all the Chrio and PT, I seem to be locked into sweats instead of all my cute new tiny clothes. I have a whole winter wardrobe that has bearly been touched. By the time I get done with this knee, it will be spring.

I definitely take more time for myself.I regularly wear make up. I think that is because I see a point to out. Before it felt like putting lipstick on a pig. Its funny, I don't feel that way about other MO ladies but I did myself. I habe tons more confidence and will try new things that might be physical. I seem to trust my body to do what I ask of it. Lots more adventurous.
Interestingly as I started to pick up some weight,I became more likely to skip makeup and dress down. That was one of my clues,I was in trouble.

I think inherently I am the same person. I do love not worrying about looking big and being able to NOT limit myself due to my weight and being judged as obese. I have put myself out there more which I love. I also have changed the way I look at exercise (on my good days!!). I like that I am still "me".

I'm jealous of Newton.... Little Willie only comes and sits with me if DH is not around. He is a "daddy's" boy.
My personality has really changed. I actually do things now that I never thought I would and am a little more comfortable in group situations. Still don't like large group gatherings, but I can atleast tolerate them now without feeling very self-concious. I go a lot more now. I actually miss some of my old quite days. So much has changed in the last 3 years. DH retired, 2 granddaughters, WLS and they have all made such a change in my life.
I am trying to find a happy balance between WLS and real life. I tend to really get into something and let other areas of my life go!! I have almost completely let the housekeeping go - which is not a good thing sometimes.
I am also not as tolerant of others as I used to be, but I wonder how much of this has to do with aging. I would never speak up and voice my opinion, but the last few years I don't care and pretty much speak my mind. This is good in some ways and bad in other ways!!
Great topic today Gina.
