Good Morning. Super Bowl this weekend

This weekend is like a holiday weekend at my house. My guys were talking about what to fix for Super Bowl Sunday. Umm...? Is this the holiday where you star****ching TV at 10AM in prep for a game that starts at 7PM? And, I'm supposed to fix manly food that they can take to the den and eat nonstop all day?

What are you fixing for Super Bowl Sunday?

We have no Super Bowl celebrations going on in our house.  My team isn't in it and we turned down party invitations because I don't want to stay up too late on a work night.

Now if the Browns ever make it in, look out.  I'd have to take time off from work from all the excitement.  I just hope I live to see the day.

no game parties here, hurray.  By game time, the guys are at bowling league so they watch on the monitors there.  I'm not impressed with football and will find something else to do/watch.

Full day here.  I have chiro this morning, meeting this afternoon, then a visitation this evening.  Driving clinic tomorrow that I am taking Chili to.  I can't do anything with him but the clinician will work with him.  So I need to be sure the truck and trailer are a go before tomorrow am.

DH will watch at our house.  No big celebration.  I hope we will have Zumba Sunday afternoon so I can go.  If I cook it will be food I can eat next week!!

I am so glad to be off today.  I slept til 8 this morning.  We are going visiting at the nursing home this morning.  Then off to the mall about 40 miles away for lunch and walking around.  We are going to pick up DGD'S #1 this afternoon and take her to the mall to Play at chuckie cheeses and do some other stuff before we take her home.

Hope everyone has a great Friday.

Hey Gina!!  I'm not having a big get together...but I plan on making Spinach, Artichoke, cheese dip!!!!  Looking forward to it!!

I'd think like a meat platter would be good......chunks of ring bologna, summer sausage, pepperoni, cheeses!!!  They would be good to pick at all day!  And you can make all kinds of dip with them!  Those that can eat crackers and breads can, those that don't want to or can't, don't have to!

Enjoy the game!  I know I will!!!

We are going to a big party --- outside with a heated pool and a 5K before the game.  I love south Texas in the winter!  We are bringing a brisket and crock pot of creamed corn.

I'm still in healing mode from PS.  I do not plan on staying for the whole event, but I'm looking forward to seeing my friends.

I'm not sure what we will do.  I guess it depends on our kids are doing.  I'm guessing DD will be resting, I'll be reading a book, and DH and DSIL will be yelling and screaming in front of the TV.  Now if it were the Steelers then we'd be celebrating.

I'm pretty sure we won't be fixing anything special.

Hope your guys have a FUN Time!!!

I'm going to a friend's house. It's also her birthday so she has a party every year. She'll make gumbo and other things. I'm brining cake pops.

The Hubs has to work 6 am to 6:30 pm.  I will go to church in the morning, a bible study luncheon and then have the house to myself and our furbabies all afternoon!!!!  I mean :(  lol

I will probably nap all afternoon and fix some nacho & cheese for the game and have the hubby pick up some wings on his way home from work.  Sounds like a good plan to me.  (I love my cheese dip... 1 small block of Mexican Velveeta, 1/2 lb. browned sausage or hamb., 1 can cream of mushroom soup and a few tbsp. milk to thin) YUM!  My mouth is watering all ready!

I watch the Super Bowl for the commercials!

Have a great weekend everyone!
