At four weeks, I can start eating real food. (that's friday)  At eight weeks I can have raw vegetables.  I have been on liquids and soft for about 6 weeks now.  I'm not sure where to start.  I have tried deli meat.  It went ok.  what was your first real food after the mushies?

Amazing, I remember being really ready for each diet change but I couldn't tell you what i tried first.  Just take it slow, small bites and chew chew chew.I never had any problems with anything as long as I did that.  When I got in a hurry and ate too fast and didn't chew well enough, I got foamies 2x.  You would think I would learn after one but oh no.  Stay with moist meats because dry stuff still may give you issues.  Enjoy.

I remember that it took me until around month five before I could tolerate eggs and tuna or chicken breasts.

One of my go to foods was shrimp. I sautéed in a touch of butter and garlic, then a big squeeze of lemon juice.  I also loved ground turkey or beef, topped with salsa.  I still eat that a lot.

I'd have to go back to Myfitnesspal to see exactly what I was eating.

Take it slow and you will be fine!

I think I ate an egg for my first real food, but it didn't go down well, so I would try something else instead. If you like shrimp, give it a try. It always stays down well for me.

I'm pretty sure it was eggs.

Appetizer meatballs worked good for me made in my mini crock pot......meatloaf also worked good made the same way.    For some reason crumbled up hamburger was too dry though!

A regular fried egg went down okay.  I loved egg salad but that was soft food so you may already be there!  There is an egg bag that I found on bariatric eating (I think) that I still love.  Chicken in crock pot is also good in cream of chicken soup.   Just take it SLOW and see what goes down okay.  Chili, canned beef stew and the crockpot meatballs were standbys for me early out.

p.s. I was SOOOO nervous progressing each stage.   It gets easier!!

I had a egg. It didn't go down well. I ended up with a protein drink to settle my grouchy pouch. Meatloaf is very easy on my tummy, bu****ch out for ketchup. I also keep pre-cooked low sodium meatballs in the freezer. One serving heats in a minute.
