Good Morning. Those big exercise balls

While I was on post yesterday I saw that some people had those big exercise balls sitting in their cubes. I think getting one of those will be on my to-do list. I used a small one when I was doing a lot of PT for my back and when we were repainting the rooms in our house---I drew baseboards. Anyway, these big exercise balls just might do the trick for my back and strengthening my core. Thought it might be worth mentioning this morning if some of you are looking for a way to get some easy exercise added to your busy days/nights.

Y'all have a great Wednesday.

LOL, gina, I think for us shorties, the small ones are big exercise balls.  I use a small one for my computer and to do some of my knee exercises.  I couldn't reach the floor with a big one.  I guess you do other than sitting stuff for your back and core?? but the personal trainer at the gym had me sitting on one to do my upper body weights at the gym so it would work my core at the same time.

Paperwork and gym/pool are on my agenda.  Plus I have to go to the grocery after being gone most of last week, nothing left in the house.

We have two at the library right now.  Someone brought them in as props.  Not sure when they will come and get them.  I might get one and try it out!!

Happy Wednesday.  I only have one more work day this week.  I'm taking Friday off to play and relax!!

Good Morning,

My physical therapist (after I injured my spine) told me that we should never sit on one for the balls at our desk, that a back supporting chair should always have good back support.  Now my ball that's by my desk rolls around the bedroom.  The only person that moves it much is the cleaning person.  It's always sitting in my desk chair after she's been here.  :)

The ball that I love best is my pilates ball.  Before my plastics, I used it nightly.  I'm getting ready to start back up with it again.  I love doing floor exercises using it!  That and my Theraband for stretching.  I think those are my favorite pieces of exercise equipment, besides my tennis shoes of course.

I'm off to walk the 3.25 mile path around the lake with a WLS friend.  Tonight is my Kaiser WLS support group.  In between, I'm doing my taxes with a few minutes of job hunting to satisfy the California EDD.

Have a fun day everyone.

Yeah just be careful though. I used to have one of them and my sister-in-law thought she would have a go at it. All I saw was her slowly roll off the side and with her legs in the air. It was hilarious!

You do that at work and you might not live it down.
