Congrats! I do think that we often wear our clothes tight pre surgery, because we just don't want to go up one more size. But let me tell you, once you start stepping down sizes it goes quickly. Pull out those too small clothes about nce a week and try them on. They will start ti fit before you know it!

It seemed to take forever for me to change sizes in the beginning. The truth is I went from 150 lbs to 220 lbs without buying new clothes because all I wore were sweat type draw string pants and t shirts. I could stay in denial because I never had to buy new clothes. They just went from being very loose to very tight. As I was losing the weight it went in reverse. They went from very tight to very loose.
I stopped wearing jeans as soon as they got too small. I never bought another pair. The only jeans I had in my closet were a pair of Levi's that were 38 x 30 (and were too small) and a size 18 that were way too small. My boyfriend, who is 6 feet and 240 lbs wears a size 36 Levi's.
I just wore my clothes until they either fell off or looked ridiculous.

Once I got down to around 14 the sizes dropped like crazy. I think it's because the plus sizes are cut differently so they can fit multiple sizes. The smaller sizes are cut to fit your figure.
