Pasta cravings

I am having the worst cravings I have ever had for pasta.  I dreamed about it last night! I do not want to fall into bad habits.  I've made an appointment with a therapist to explore my food issues.  However, it's not for another 2 weeks.  Any ideas?  I'm getting my protein and water in.

There is always spaghetti squash.  It is kind of pasta like.  There is also those tofu noodles that are very low carb and low calorie.  I think I found them at whole foods or Seasons market.  They are like the miracle noodles.  Unfortunately, to me they tasted like ass but some people swear by them.  I think I didn't rinse them off as much as I should of.
When I have had bad cravings I got some gluten free spaghetti and it wasn't bad but it still has a lot of carbs.  I  have those every now and then.  I bought the package months ago and still have most of it.  A very little goes a long way.

Now after reaching goal, I eat gluten free brown rice pasta. Fills me up like crazy and if you try it now, you may be a hurtin' puppy. Spaghetti squash as Tazz suggested may be a good way around it.

Pasta is still a no go for me. So is rice, sits awful in my tummy. I will eat my meatballs or sausage out of the sauce. Shelly's baked ricotta is like a pasta free lasagna (eggface). I never met a noodle I didnt like preop, but now its a non issue!
Try to find a substitute for what you are missing.
Good luck!

I think I will try the spaghetti squash.  I didn't even think of that.  Thanks.

This probably isn't a WLS correct response, but I have discovered that when I indulge my cravings it resolves them. I used to love pasta, these days I can only eat a few bites. It just weighs down my pouch and the flavor/gratification just aren't what I remembered/craved. Rice and potatoes are the same way.

Turns out my cravings are usually "head cravings". When the food actually hits my mouth, it's ... ehh. I only eat a few bites.

My eyes tend to be larger than my stomach too. On the plus side, DH gets lots of leftovers.

We are all different. You'll figure out what works for you.

I haven't craved pasta but I do love pasta sauce.  So when the guys have pasta, I get sauce and cheese.  Yumm.  That was always the best part as far as I was concerned anyway.
