Lab Work High Liver Enzymes

My doctor wanted me to repeat my liver tests since they were high, so they came back and they are even higher then a week ago. I am a bit concerned. Any idea what it could be? I know it could be from losing weight but they actually had been normal last March, they they started going up a bit in July and now they have increased even in the last week.
On the good side my albumin is 4.2 so that is good.

What kind of Vitamin A are you taking? Did you get labs done for that?

I take vitalady's A 25.000.
The test for A is one of the ones I've ben fighting getting done.

I know you wouldn't expect me to say this but if could be one of your vitamins. Could you be over taxing your kidneys and liver?

Are you going to see a specialist? I thought I remembered you saying it was recommended. Anyway, make sure you tell them all the vitamins and herbal remedies you are taking. Especially the doses. I agree with Gina. You could be overdoing something that is causing your liver to work over time. I think acute hepatitis values would be much higher and your bili counts and alk phos would be high too. Good luck and keep us posted.

I have an appointment with my PCP this Thursday. I expect that she will want an ultrasound. She may refer me out.
I do have a current list with the hospital of everything I take. I was wondering too if it may have to do with everything I am taking. The only real new med I have been on is Deplin, which is a folate.
I did have viral hepatitis as a teen but I doubt this is related.
I'll see what the doctor has to say.

Mine have been elevated also. I started taking the Milk Thistle and came off of my Fish Egg Oil supplements and just came off of my Crestor and they came down this time. I'm rechecking in a month to make sure my cholesterol doesn't go back up.

Are you taking any other medications that could be causing this like cholesterol meds?

They did a liver ultra sound and ran all kinds of blood test for hepatits and other things just to be sure it wasn't something else. There is a lot of us with them that are high.
