An Update
I have not posted in awhile. I stopped coming around because it depressed me to compare my loss to others. I have maintained a pretty steady weight since last summer. I got off track over the holidays and vacation and gained a few lbs. I have started logging my food again so I can work on keeping up the protein.
I have lost close to 70 lbs. I went from an 18 to a size who knows??? because I have anything from a 4 to an 11 that fits. I am so happy I had the sleeve when I did, rather than waiting til I gained more. Also, my work changed from Humana who approved everyone based on BMI to Cigna who I hear requires a lot more documentation.
I am happy to report that at 16 months out, last week I finally found a protein shake. This is important because when I work 12 hour shifts my intake really suffers. At least, I can throw it back while charting.
My lactose intolerance has pretty much resolved. Unless something is really buttery it does not bother me.
I am still really sensitive to ketosis. Last week, I tried to do low carb to get the few lbs off and felt like total crap. I still need a minimum of 80 grams to function at work.
I have had some reactive hypoglycemia a few times. The first time it happened I has a sugary drink before work and never had a chance to eat. A few hours later, I got shaky and foggy. I had some sugar and protein and as fine. Unfortunately, when this happens it is usually at work when I am busy taking care of my patients.
I struggle with whether I should take off a few more lbs. I am happy with my body because I still have curves and the excess skin is not too bad( My arms and thighs are the worst). It is tempting to get to that normal BMI range and then I know there is typically a little bounce back. I really have not worked out so I am thinking if I made this a priority, a little weight would come off without having too much more hanging skin( I fear abdominal skin more than the little bump) or losing my curves.

.I guess we will see where I end up!

You look great! If you're happy there, stay there and bump the exercise to tighten things up and maintain. You really do look good.

You look terrific. I can see why you would be happy if that is where you ended up.
Sounds like you have a handle on the issues that have come with your WLS and are dealing well with them. Exercise will tighten up under the skin and build muscle to help during maintainance.
Come by more often. You are doing great.
