OT School Day One

I have been so stressed out about this online class because it's been a long time since I have been in school, plus the fact that my memory is not what it used to be and the class is in Excel, which is like a foreign language to me.  Anything that involves math goes right over my head.
So the first lesson posted after midnight so I decided to sign in and check it out.  I wound up completing the lesson and passing the first quiz.  I still have the assignment to complete but it looks easy enough.  I actually learned the basics of Excel and I understand it a little.  That is a big deal for me because honestly I wasn't even sure what Excel did, only that every job opening I want to apply for requires proficiency in it.
I think I may actually be able to learn this :)

Way to go on getting in there and getting to work!.  And congrats on passing your first quiz!  i hope it gives you the confidence that you can do.

I am the same way with math.  Excel is something I really need to learn, I just have not pushed myself.  I am taking a finance class this semsester that has me pretty worried.

That's great, Tazz. I live on Excel at work and really like it. I guess I'm a bit of a geek that way. Once you get the hang of it, you'll find all kinds of uses for it.

I use excell but have never had a class in it.  I would love to see what all I am missing.

See, I told you that you could do this.  Adults really think because they haven't been to "school" in a long time that their brains have turned off but really, adult learners are pretty quick because they have so much more experience than kids to build new knowledge on.  Glad you had a successful first day.

The more you use excel, the easier it is.   I'm all self taught...trial and error!  I'm a little jealous that you actually get a class.

Enjoy your victory!

Way to go Tazz!!  Our library offers free computer classes and one of them is Excel.  I love Excel and do a lot of my work on it.

You can do this!!
