Up side of the learning curve
I went to mall about 30 min from our house to return a pair of earrings I got for Christmas. Well, I was too early and had 20 min to kill so I went to the Starbucks nearby. I knew I couldn't have coffee yet, so I decided on chai tea latte. Thinking it was a perfect choice of milky tea, I ordered a short nonfat chai tea latte. I had the first sip and thought it was wonderful. Had the second sip and realized it was chock full of sugar! A glutton for punishment I had a teensy weeny third sip and tossed it in the trash. About an hour later, I felt nauseous and shaky. It could of been my imagination, but I think I had a mini-dump. I am still on the up side of the learning curve.
oh dear. hate to tell you but the learning curve doesn't stop any time soon. Just over Christmas, at 16 months out, I had a mini dump for the first time. And lots of folks experience doing great with a food for a few times, then having a bad experience with the same thing they have had no problems with before. Our pouches can just be pretty fickled it seems. I do think we get better at figuring out what will and won't bother us. And then mostly we abide by those things, but sometimes we don't. We are human and still make mistakes. I've taken that last bite when I knew I was full and it was going to not be good. But it all is a learning process and maybe I'll do better next time.
So don't beat yourself up, learn from your experiences and most of all, go slow. Hoping you will feel better soon.
