So I had my one week follow up today. Staples have been removed, and I am feelin' GREAT! I asked the doc. if I had to adhere to the "no lifting more than 5lbs for a month" thing. I told her I rocked my 2 yr old to sleep last night and was stuck there until my hubby finally came to check on me. lol She said I am good to go ahead and lift her. 
I don't plan on over doing it, but I want to be able to carry my baby to bed.I'm doing great. Struggling to get the protein in, but she said that will get better, and to concentrate on fluids. On the BEST note -- I am down 12 lbs! 
I almost cried when I got weighed. I expect I will have a stall at 3 weeks out, so my visit on Feb 9th might not be as high, but I am going to keep working, and making healthy choices.

Wonderful beginning for sure. We don't all stall so don't be surprised if it doesn't happen. Just keep working on that protein and fluids.
