Need Swinging Critters for Danni

Determineddanni is back in the hospital. Update by Elizabeth N from Facebook:

Bad news for Determineddani. That kinda sorta bellyache she mentioned in her last post from the ER is an abscess. Her husband called a bit ago. She will be medflighted to SLC within the hour. Her condition is not yet dire, but there is not sufficient care for her where they live, and their insurance requires that this be referred to a COE location for care. Nearest one for them is SLC, which is handy since her surgeon is also there.

No word yet on what kind of treatment will be necessary, though the assumption is that it will be some kind of surgical intervention. She's been started on massive antibiotics and all that jazz.

Weather is horrible in their neck of the woods tonight with an ice storm having caused at least 100 accidents in just a couple of hours. He's not going to try to drive out tonight but will hit the road first thing in the morning.

Swing those critters please. Her poor hubby is a Montanan and a Marine combat vet, but he's no less terrified for being a tough guy.

I will be in touch today and keep you all posted as I can.

Oh dear.  I'm swinging hard for her.  Hopefully there was enough break in the weather to get her to the new center safely and care started, whatever that entails.

Staff coming in today to start helping me get this paper madness under control, then Chrio appt to work on my knee and back some more.  Let's get this knee moving, one way or another.

 I'm swinging for her.  I live in SLC and we see medevacs in from Montana on a regular basis.  Our life flight pilots are some of the best in the business.  Plus Danni and I share the same surgeon.  He has told me that every ER in the valley knows to call him if there is ever a problem with one of his patients.  He'll be there for her and get this mess taken care of.  I feel terribly for her husband.  He must be feeling scared and pretty helpless right now.  Thank goodness he has the sense to wait for the storm to pass.  At any rate, I am swinging every creature I can find for them today!

 I'm feeling a little better now knowing that the two of you share a surgeon that is so attentive.

I trust that he will get her sorted out and back home ASAP.

Thanks for keep us updated Gina.  I'll be swinging for her and her family.  It has got to be really scary for them all.  Hope he can get there this morning to be with her.

I'm swining too, although i'm not sure what that means.   I have already said a prayer for her!

Oh my goodness Gina, I have tears in my eyes reading this! The poor girl, and her hubby too. I feel confident she is in good hands. But am swing my beautiful persian just for her... might even consider my shih tzu too!!!!!!

 We swing lizards because years ago some folks were offended by saying prayers.

So our swinging encompasses sending good healing energy, saying prayers, whatever you personally do when a friend needs your attention and caring.  It's just generic.
