Mondays are okay...the kids at school are kind of wild and off because they had the weekend.  We have to get them back  to get them settled to do their work jobs....today was doulbled off as the moon was full last night...and I so believe it effects the kids.   BTW, I will love next Monday (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day) as I will be off!.

3 1/2 weeks out / soft foods

mondays are the same as other weekdays to me since I stay home. weekends are different cause DH is here.

I am getting pretty pissed wwith my inability to move the scale down. I have tried more protein drinks,less protein drinks,no protein drinks,only dense protein,less dense protein all dense protine. Nothing makes any difference,but at least it is staying stable and not going up,but I still need to lose 50 #.

The only think I haven't done is really bump up the exercise/weights,because of my surgeries procedures the last 2 months,but today I decided to change that. I walked sown our steep driveway aand back up. Took me 9 minutes,burned 33 cals,but it is a start and I was barely breathing hard. Looking forward to getting back to my bike riding. Hopefully the foot surgeon will give me the ok for that  next week.

I feel like th emandatory oatmeal is partly to blame but I just don't know. If the exercise doesn't make a difference I am gonn call it and day and decide to be in maintenance. I am not going to keep spinning my wheels if the oatmeal is not gonna let me progress. Also gonna ask the rectal surgeon if the otmeal is going to be a "rest of my life" kinda thing. If it is,I am definately gonna claim maintenance and move on.

Your totals even with the oatmeal are really good. So if you are snacking or taking extra bites (I'm guilty of this)  I just don't have any answer for you.

Did you exercise to take off the beginning pounds?  If you did then then not exercising might be what's holding your back.

I am not snacking for sure and used to take the extra bites here and there but now,the thought of 24  carbs oatmeal is holding me back from extra carbs pretty well. 24 gms is what I used to shoot for in a day and now it is the days worth,in one meal. I know if I add any bites ,even of carbs on my plan,I am gonna go higher than I need to.

I exercised very sporadically. I would walk/ride my bile hot and heavy for a couple of weeks then would end up slacking for a month or two. no weights the entire time. I know as we decrease in pounds we have to up the exercise to compensate for weighting less. Last thing I know to do.

I did have 4 protein shakes yesterday and about 120 oz of water with the protein shakes. The scale was down a pound this morning. Maybe that is the answer! Maybe it is gonna take a two pound tub of protein and 5 gals of filtered water *EVERY DAY* to make the scale move! GAH! Plus I am sure the 9 min 33 cal walk up and down the hill made a big difference,lol.

I do feel better seeing the scale go down a little,so not claiming maintenance just yet.

I can tell you this right here and now,if the scale starts going down regularly again,somebody would have to force feed me extra carbs to make me eat them. I am going to maximize it for all it is worth.

I'm glad you are down a pound!!!!!

I feel the same way about oatmeal.  I could eat it every day but I know that I have to really watch my carbs on the days I do. If I have extra carbs during the day then I always add another Protein drink to even out the percentages.

Maybe the walk and fresh air did you more good than you think.  They say it's better to have several 10 minute walks than none at all.

I just have a bad attitude about Mondays.  The end of my week end is also the begining of my husband's week end.  I always wish I could sleep in with him on Mondays.

We still have a ginormous trey of cookies by the coffee pot...I picked one up..took a bite and threw the rest of it out.  I guess that is some improvment.

I can't imagine what working different days would be like.  DH and I have been fortunate to always work M-F.  He starts an hour before me so we which have time in the BR and then he gets home earlier but that's a plus because he has the grass almost mowed etc. before I get home and if I have something to go in the oven then super is near done by then too.

Good for you throwing that cookie out!!!   I have learned that I can't have things sitting out.  It doesn't matter if I know where they are "hidden" if I can't see them I'm fine.

Good Menu!  How many Proteins are you getting in?

Since we all have different likes, I don't know about really good but I love it.  Yes, it's Syntrax Nectar.  It has just a touch of lemon but it also is mild enough you can ad pretty much any flavor of crystal lite or MIO to it.  VitaLady sells samples for $1.99 each. I think SI03 sales a sample package too.  A lot of people like the Fuzzy Navel too.
