WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER!!

Not having my Sunday morning Oatmeal this week because I had some yesterday and then I caved last night and ate 2 Pizza Hut bread sticks....why do carbs go down so easily!!!!!!   Scale has moved back up to 119.....

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!!

Hi Roz,

First of all thanks for being such a faithful poster.   When I fall off the OH wagon and stop posting and even worse stop lurking, things get very bad.   So bad my husband logs on for me and passes the laptop over.  It always breaks my heart to see how many people seem to have disappeared during my absences.    It makes it seem like its no longer my home.  But the lightweight board is always here!!!   The day I log on and can't find Roz and Major Mom is the day I give up on OH.

Secondly, We have already established, carbs are EVIL!!!..... I am trying to run from the monster myself ...go frog go....so it is a day of full liquids today despite the little orange squares of cheesy carbness that are in the snack cabinet.

I would like to think I can make it two days and actually make it through the five day pouch test and come out  right into Atkins induction....I just want the cravings and head hunger gone!!!....but today I am just going to struggle from one meal time to the next.
I think I am going to live off protein coffee for today.

Nice to see you Dawn!!   I'm glad you turn to the LW's when you need to get back on track...even if your DH has to do the nudging sometimes....LOL

There are a few of us "oldies" still around and I miss the posters that were regulars when I was going through the losers stage.  I write to some of them once in awhile and occassionally a few of them will write and give us an update on how they are doing.

If I didn't start M&M I would probably be missing in action too and that scares me because it is the accountability that keeps me in check.

We have a great group of encouragers posting so spend some time getting to know them and and they will help you get back on track!

Hi Roz!  Sorry to hear about the scale... I had popcorn a few nights ago and it showed on the scale too.   Tomorrow may be another day of protein drinks.  I have another bacteria test in the morning and can't even brush my teeth ACK!  Luckily that's early in the morning so it will be noonish before I eat.  I'll take a protein drink with me.

WOW - very productive day!  Got my closet cleaned out, kids pics take care of, clothes swapped for the seasons.  Have a load to take to the thrift store and to the storage unit.  Also found some stuff I'd lost -LOL... Did my filing that hadn't been done for 6 months...

B - coffee, 6 pieces (yes, 6) of bacon and a small piece of spinach pie
L - none... too busy and didn't even miss it!
D - chicken n dumplings

Vits:   yes
Water:  did ok

Can't brush your teeth...that could be wicked after drinking protein drinks....LOL

I bought DH some thick bacon when I got groceries yesterday but I haven't told him yet because it could eat 1/2 the package with no problem.   Even a piece is too much grease for me.

Could have just been the added sodium in the pizza breadsticks. Don't panic yet.

Rainy day there and I am still fighting off this cold but I'm headed to the therapy pool this afternoon to walk. Giving my knee off yesterday except for basic exercises was positive. I slept better and it feels better today. Just have to figure out how much stress is good, what is too much.

I'm glad you got some sleep last night.  Sleep makes such a world of difference when you are trying to recover from something.  It probably helps you deal with the pain easier too.

Sounds like your menu is off to a good start!!!

Good Menu!

I've always wondered about the egg bites.  I'm not a breakfast eater but during my 6 month pre surgery diet I had scrambled eggs every single morning but now I can't eat them at all.  They lay like a log in my pouch for over a day.

I hear you! That is why I am going to try these, you put so many goodies in them that I am hoping they are good and that the other stuff masks the egg. I am also making them more for convenience for those on the go meals, or just plain I don't wanna cook days. Also trying to help DH adjust his eating to less carbs. But these are small so I am not sure it will work for him, we will see.

I am keeping a list of quick meals and making sure everything is always handy so I don't fall back into old ways.
