Day 2 of the 5DPT was successful!!
Down another pound - woohoo!!
Day 2 went well. I had a Dr's appt in the morning so I had my protein coffee on the way. Oh BTW - Day 2 was JUST protein drinks again.
Morning I felt fuzzy, headache in my neck and kinda weird. Not sure what from. By mid-morning it was better. Today I feel fine.
Then I didn't have anything until I got back home at 3:30 - not even fluids. I didn't trust myself that if I went through a drive-thru I wouldn't get something to eat - I was HUNGRY! But, I managed to get through it.
I stopped at Target and bought an Oster individual mixer. I love it! Works great and I'm having fun with it. Got home and mixed myself a frozen Syntrax Fuzzy Navel. I also bought some of the OJ that has 50% less sugar with no artificial sweetners. Used that in the drink too.
Then for dinner I mixed myself this awesome concoction that I figured had almost 600 calories in it (YIKES). I used 4, yes FOUR scoops of protein in it. Definitely will scale it back next time. Use 1/2 milk and 1/2 water and only 2 scoops. Will keep the calories under control. The recipe called for a banana, which I didn't have, but I have a Banana Nut protein powder - it did the trick!
Today (Day 3) is soft protein. This may be a challenge. Honestly? I don't want to go back to solids - I want to stay on protein drinks. For some reason I feel if I do that, I won't get hungry and be tempted to eat stuff I shouldn't. But I guess I need to eat again eventually.
Day 3 menu doesn't mention protein drinks - just all soft protein eating. Tuna, soft fishes like Tilapia, Orange Roughy, eggs, etc. Yea... I can do that. Back to basics, no drinking 30 minutes before or 30 minutes after, no drinking with meals, eat only until you feel satisfied. Oh - and they give you only 15 minutes to eat. I don't see that being a problem... if my pouch is small like it feels, then I'll be full after a few bites. This is a "eat as much as you want - but follow the rules" day. I don't think that will be an issue either with me wanting to eat too much.

LOL-sometimes I can't trust myself to drive through some places either..... There are some places that my mind knows what to order, but when I get up there something else entirely different comes out of my mouth.
I haven't had any Fuzzy Navel protein drink in a long time - that really sounds good. So does the one with banana.
Good luck with day 3.
Linda
A lot of the recipes on my blog have bananas in them... and I just don't eat them because of the carbs, but I have this Banana Nut protein powder I've had forever I can't figure out what to do with - now I know! With my new blender bottle I see all kinds of new concoctions waiting to be made. I've also got the syrups. I wish I had a SF strawberry syrup - not sure they even make it but may check it out. Hmm... wonder if a SF strawberry preserves would work as well? I would think a strawberry/banana protein drink sounds awesome! I typically stay away from frozen fruit, but have some in the freezer... may break it out and give it a try.
I'm making myself hungry... have to stop talking about it! LOL
