Day 1 has passed and I'm proud to say it was a successful day!  All I had were protein drinks, even though the site says you can have creamed soups, etc.  I didn't see the sense of that since they are carb loaded and I'm trying to decarb... I didn't even have my last protein hot chocolate last night.  They say you have as much as you want, but I had my protein coffee for bfast as usual, a double protein shake for lunch and a single protein mocha frozen shake for dinner.

This morning I've got a slight fuzzy headache.  Not sure if its from the decarbing or my neck is a mess and I need to go to the chiro, since its sitting at my neck. Or I need my caffeine!!  I'm not cutting that out for this diet...   Also, for those of you that don't know, I tend to have a few adult beverages and am thinking this is how my body is getting rid of the toxins.  I really can't wait until the end of this to see how I really feel!!  I've heard people feel great once its over and the carbs are out of their system. Last night I was watching the Sugar Bowl and just got SOOO tired - wonder if that's another side effect?  It was 9:15!! so, I went to bed.  Time will tell!

Lots of liquids yesterday - I was running for the bathroom every hour it seemed.

Yesterday weighed at 137, this morning 133.5!!  I know its water, but its a start!!

Weight released is weight. I don't care what the source is, it always feels terrific.  Congratulations on a very successful first day!

He Seaview - I was wondering where you were!  Yes, Day 2 started rough.. but doing better now.  Felt kinda woozy, headache... Got behind on my fluids because I had to go to the Dr.  Took my protein coffee with me, but that's all I had by 3:30... not good.  Catching up now!

Good for you.  I'm not ready for the 5dpt yet but I have determined that I need to go back to weighing and logging.  So I weighed and logged this mornings breakfast and will continue.  I was just being lazy but it is so easy for one ounce of cheese to end up being 2 and the calories and carbs to go haywire.  Thanks for the motivation.

Price - I hear ya!  I quit logging my food a long time ago and know exactly what you mean.  I bought Tom a nice digital scale for Christmas I'll use and will become more diligent in measuring my food.  I probably won't do so well logging, but at least I'll know the portions I'm consuming again.

Way to go Jody - great first day.

Thanks for the protein drinks you posted yesterday.  I printed them out before and need to get them out and look at them again.  I get in such a rut and do the same thing over and over again.

I have found a great Peppermint Mocha Protein recipe from Nik on the RNY board that I love.  I don't have the Peppermint syrup so I just used a very litle of Peppermint Extract.  Wow, I love the chocolate and peppermint mix.

Good luck on day 2.  You can do this.  Congrats on the 3.5 pounds!!

Linda - what was that recipe?  I love a mocha/peppermint combo.

I got the recipe from Nik on Bariatric Foode on Facebook and she is on the RNY board.  I had to change a little because I don't have the Syrups.

I brew a cup of coffee.
In a separate cup, mix 1 scoop of chocolate protein(or I have used vanilla) - I use Syntrax,
1 tbls unsweetened cocoa, 1-2 tsp of splenda
Mix dry ingredients
I add about 1/4 - 1/2 cup of Hood calorie countdown milk to make a pudding like consistence then I add about 1/8 - 1/4 tsp of peppermint extract
After this is mixed really well I stir it into my hot coffee stiring constantly.
Sometimes I top with fat free whip cream
It is really good.
