Hi its me again, TexasGirl73...and since yall have made me feel all so welcome, my real name is Jamie....just thought you may want to knwo that.  So my surgery date is set for March 13 and that seems so far away.  I have mailed the deposit and now I'm just so anxious/excited, etc., etc.   72 Days to go, isnt that how long Kim Kardashian was married? I sure hope time flies.  So my question is this....If you had surgery with Dr. Alvarez, could you/would you give me a run down on how the day of surgery is going to go.  I am going alone and would just really like to know as many details of the day as possible.  I have heard that you go to his office first that is not at the hospital, and then on to the hospital.  I think its my OCD coming out in me and I have 72 days to thinkg about things.  So again, if you had your surgery by Dr. Alvarez, please run me through your day starting with being picked up at the hotel in Eagle Pass by Rosie.  Also, how safe was your vehicle left at the hotel for 2 nights.

I am sure others will post about the dr as I cannot help there...you may want to add his name to the title of this post.  I DO understand though about wanting to know what to expect.  This will help with your nerves tremendously.  The time will go by fast and before you know it you will be recovering and learning about this new lifestyle.  It is worth it.  Good luck.

Did you try the Mexico board for De Alvarez?  I think we have someone here that went but am not really sure.

I worked on my "ticker", I hope it is showing now.  I can't figure out how to edit my title to include Alvarez.  I also didn't know about another forum with Mexico as the subject.  I really like it here so I hope I can stay, but if I need to ask this somewhere else please let me know.  Thanks guys!

Cant help with the day of surgery, but just wanted to support you!

Make sure you are getting things in line at home, liquids, proteins, vitamins, and sugar free items.

 Congrats and Ure gonna do GREAT !!   I was nervous as a CAT  before surgery  yet it changed my life TREMENDOUSLY and   gave me every opportunity I'd dreamed of ...


Sure its a lifechanging thing .. Ure nervous ..  Its only NATURAL .   Try to walk walk walk  now and post op  and clean Ur system out as much as possible via fasting and  a protein shake diet  preop  to lessen the chance of infection .  Keeping to THAT regime  will keep the MIND occupied  .

Thank you everyone for all the sweet words.  I feel good about everything, just wish I knew how the day was going to go once Rosie picks me up.  I tried to find the Forum that was just about Mexico/Mexico Dr.'s, but couldn't find it anywhere.  Now my husband has decided to go with me....not sure how I feel about that now.  I was all prepared to do this alone, and now he is going.  He does not sleep well so I am just worried I will worry about him the entire time and I know that is not going to help me.  I guess its 71 days away so I will have plenty of time to either deal with it or talk him out of going.  I know that sounds terrible.  He is my best friend, and I tell him everything.  BUT.....I'm the mother hen, I take care of everyone and everything before myself so I'm just now wanting to make sure he is ok.  I think I am just rambling....blah blah blah.  Sorry everyone!  I'll keep ya updated.
