Thoughts on my mind...
Its been awhile since I have been on the forum or even the website. I should be on it every day. My surgery was 12/4/2009 and I still have not met my goal weight. I have not eaten any rice, pasta, sweets yet and watch my carbs. As a lightweight it is frustrating but I have not and will not give up.
What I am doing wrong:
Not drinking all my fluids
Not getting in all my protein
Easting sunflower seeds with shell (alot of them)
Caffinated coffee (about 3-6 cups a day)
Not exercising.
So I got on the scale today and I am at my heaviest weith since surgery. I am at 180.2. The day of my surgery I weighed 242. My personal goal is 152-157.
What I will be doing right:
Drinking my fluids
Getting my protein in first
Exercising
Only 1-2 cups of caffinated coffee a day
and this one is the hardest for me I know I need to write down what I eat and still dont. So I will have to work on that. When I signed on today and saw that Roz was still inputting hers it made me feel like I had a friend here, I remembered she used to write down when I first came to the website.
Thanks for letting me babble... I wish all of you luck in your weight loss no getting healthier journey.

Stacy...nice to see you again! There are still a few of us around...Gina and Jody for 2 plus Maria occassionally. I'm hoping a few more stop in since the holdiays are over. A lot of newbies and regular posters but that's what keeps us going.
Do you drink the Protein drinks? They are a life saver for me and alot of the regulars. I just can't get all of my Protein in through food.
Switch to decafe coffee and put protein in it. I don't drink coffee but the way Gina and the others describe it it sounds delicious!
Start keeping track of what you eat/drink on one of the menu sites. OH has one now and there are quite a few others. I like fitclick.com. It really helps and I think it will get you excited again.
Posting every day has been one of main reasons that I've been successful. It's hard to give advice if you aren't living the life.

Welcome back Stacy. You can do this. If I did not stay on here I would be lost.
Sounds like you have a plan. I find posting on Roz's menus and miles, even the bad, helps me so much. The only thing I would do in addition to what you listed would be to change to decaf if possible and add in some protein drinks. They really help me from snacking as much.
Good luck. Can't wait to read about your progress.

Welcome back. You already have all the suggestions I know of. It really is pretty simple and very difficult at the same time. But the folks here have made it work for me and will for you also. Use a tracker, post on Miles and menus and you will be going down in no time.

It is a new day! Your pouch is still there and one of the things I have really learned is that this is a lifelong process and struggle....you have NOT failed.....you can make the changes you have listed.....become protein focused again and start initiating some exercise.....add protein to your coffee (I am drinking my protein cofffe right now!!) and this will help tremendously. You are NOT alone in this....I would also suggest Katie Jay's NAWLS site....she sent out an email yesterday that was about this issue.....start NOW and you will see a difference. Start reading the board each day......support is here and you can make these changes.
You are amazing!!!
Blessings....

Hi Stacy. I remember you from when I first joined OH. I know that you can meet your goals. Anything that you might view as having to "give up now". Will give you so much back with each pound shed. It's amazing how self confidence can escalate.
