Good Morning. I miss Vitalady

I'm missing Michelle, Vitalady, this morning. She has been my mentor in many ways since my first year post-op. Michelle posted on her grads board that she is not well. Her autoimmune issues are flaring up and these predated her surgery, so this is not WLS related. Her trip east this past summer really did Don and her in...wore them out even though they love making the summer trips via RV.

Things I see and read on the various boards and sites scare me. Some have lost her vision of a healthy WLS community teaching their surgeon's practices what it takes to follow labs and tweak vitamins according to individual labs, and boost healing and overall health and long term success via protein shakes and healthy food for life.

Please keep Michelle's vision in mind as you continue on your journey. Have a great Monday.

Thank you for posting this, Gina. I've wondered about her. I will keep them both in my thoughts and prayers. She is truly a visionary for WLS.

I don't think any of us really realize how much she has influenced post-op care. I know my surgeon and dietitian listen to her and have made adjustments to their program due to her influence.  They have seen with their own eyes the difference in those that follow her plan and those that don't.

Prayers and (((HUGS))) for Michelle, Don and our in house #1 Support Team...Gina.

Michelle has personally taken the time to answer my many questions over the last 3 years and the knowledge that she has passed down to many of us has made the difference between our success and failure.

Gina thank you for keeping up with what is going on in  Michelle's life and sharing it with us.  I know she is far more than just a friend to you.  I do believe in a Higher Power for healing and I also believe in Miracles.

Gina, the way you feel about Michelle is how I feel about you.  I really appreciate the time and concern you invest in each and every one of us.  You have used your knowledge that you have learned from Michelle and others to be the Mentor for many on our LW board and others.

I know I have slacked off but your daily commitment keeps me coming back.  Thank You Gina for being so faithful!!

I agree with what the others have said.  I was concerned about her the last time I heard from her.  I hope she gets better soon.  She is invaluable.
I know she has taught you and others so much and I pray that you both will be around for a long time to keep helping people.  We need people like you and Michelle because for a lot of us all we have are our doctors and speaking for myself, if that is all I have I am screwed.

Swinging for Michelle and Don.  They have certainly had a rough year.  Hope 2012 will be better for them both.

It is very scary what some people are told post op(and pre-op).  Hopefully with all of us here we can continue to help each other along the way and be the support that we all need.

Thanks for all that you do for us Gina.  I would have been lost a long time ago without  vets like you, Roz and Jody helping me out along the way.
