It'll be a quiet NY Eve for us, but we're having family over for dinner NY Day.  Can't wait for the pork and sauerkraut.

I like sauerkraut...wish my DH did. I'd really like to try some homemade sauerkraut.

My DH also gripes about the sauerkraut, but he eats it anyway because that's the way he was raised LOL.  There's some places around here that specialize in making their own small batches for sale.  One of these days I'm actually going to get some to see if there's a big difference.  Making it homemade is a lot of work, but it could be really satisfying.

As always thanks for your message. I needed to hear this. I am in Tahoe with the kids...my husband had to stay home and work. Of course I am trying to do everything for the kids and my husband even though he is not even here. I am not being in the present.....It's exhausting and now I am losing sleep because I'm much too amped up...I am going to regroup when I get home and try to focus on self care and not being super mom / wife/ person/ etc...have a happy new year...the snow is here but not much of it...the kids are enjoying it though...SEAVIEW

Please take it easy on yourself. :)  The kids will remember spending time with you while your DH had to work. Years from now they won't remember any hoopla you devise.

Great words Gina...

We are having a quiet evening, my 5 year old looks forward to NYE as this is the only time he gets to stay up later than usual...(as long as he takes a later nap).  This also means we get to sleep in for once!  We plan on playing games, and watching the ball drop...the guys will have their traditional pizza rolls, and I will be having meatball ricotta bake.
Quiet day tomorrow as well....making Chicken Fajitas and just chilling out.and watching football (Go Packers!).

Happy New Years!!!

No big cooking here but I do need to go get some collards to cook.  Mine in the garden are pretty sad.  I never stay up to watch the ball drop, too much of a sleepy head here.

It's always my desire to take the ponies out for Christmas and New years and the weather here is wonderful, but it will have to wait.  I did join a qym with a theropy pool and will probably go tomorrow.  Ho****er sounds pretty great right now.  I've been afraid to try to get in and out of the tub but a soak sounds great.  I should be able to use some of the upper body machines now.  Ready to get this body moving again.
