It's your holiday too. Don't try to be supermom. Let your family (or ask them to) spoil you some today too. Just sayin' you don't need to start the new year at deficit energy levels because you tried to make everyone's holiday "the best ever".

I hope everyone has a nice New Years Eve but keeps the expectations reasonable.

I do not have to do anything for New Years. We take the greens to my SIL and DH is cooking them! DGD's are coming to spend the night and go to SS in the morning so it should be a fun day!!

I feel so blessed this morning because I am not sitting here dreading another diet starting tomorrow. For everyone starting this journey -it works if you work.

DH and Son#2 are cooking NY dinner--beef loin, yellow taters, mustard greens and black-eyed peas. Bacon grease and ham seasoning will have to do for the pork tradition. Oh, yeah and fried oysters...not sure why they want fried oysters but I think Son#2 has been craving fried oysters since I told him I had some earlier this month.

. I was sooo tired, but made it up until the camera and wires fell down and stopped the game with 2 minutes left.

Thanks...made it safely home about 4:30PM, then headed out to the store...needed a pork roast and blackeyed peas for tomorrow...had the "greens" (using spinach). Typical New Year's Day dinner as I was growing up. Wanting to make Hoppin' John but can't decide if I want to have rice.
