Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!    Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER!!

Well LW's I have snacked myself up 4 lbs.  I hit the 120 mark today and it only took a couple of weeks to do it.  A lot of carbs, sugar,  and salt!!  Trying to not snack today and making my family leave all of the left over snacks at DD's tonight.  I swore I would never start a diet again for my New Years Resolution and I'm sticking to that.  I'm NOT going to diet...I'm just getting back to basics and "normal" for me whi*****ludes NO "no no" list and NO guilt which always led to disaster when I was on a diet.

My body has finally adjusted to the low calorie diet so I'm feeling much better today.  I've just been hungry, grumpy and tired!  But I feel normal today.  Amazing what happens when first you give up all that sugar, white food and caffeine!

B:  Protein shake
L:  2 Boca burgers with 1 laughing cow cheese and small salad
S:  fruit and Slimfast snack bar
D:  4 oz steamed lobster tail and asparagus (wonder how lobster tastes when it isn't drowned in butter?)

Water and Vitamins!

Went shopping today for a fancy top to wear with a velvet skirt to a banquet later in January.  Found a cute red glittery sweater which will be perfect and it was of course on sale.

Walked 15 min and the combination of walking, exercises and shopping did me in.  the weather was wonderful and i missed being able to play with the ponies for the New Year but there will be other times.

decaf protein coffee
french toast, SF jelly
grilled fish
chicken, spinach leftover from dinner out
decaf protein coffee
Pork loin, salad
protein drink

Makes me jealous to read through what y'all are eating . . . I'm on liquids and protein!!! Although I'm not hungry (thank goodness) I'm feeling depleated. Of course, I'm only 12 days out of VSG surgery so I'm trying to give myself a break but it's hard!!!

Thanks for all of you, Happy New Year!!!

Wendy, it gets better, I promise.  I was so ready for each diet change when they happened.  In the grand scheme of things, each is such a small amount of time and you have the rest of your life.  Give yourself time to heal and soon you will be eating everything again.  Happy New Year.

Thank you for the encouragement - it certainly has been more difficult than I thought it would for some reason, although I feel I was prepared.  Kind of confusing -

You are so right - it is a short period of time!!!  Looking forward to 2012 - Happy New Year!!!
