So, I ran out of time to post from home and nobody is here yet ... Low carb seems to be working. I think I've lost a couple of Christmas pounds. How's everyone doing with their back to basics?

I would quietly start throwing it all away, one bag, box, plate at a time then cover it up in the trash can with a bunch of paper towels.,when I happened to find myself alone in the break room.  your co workers don't need anymore crap either, lol.

I have actually done this more than once. my reasoning is,they werent sensitive to my needs not to have it around so I dont feel obligated to be sensitive to their "need" TO have it around,KWIM? lol

I've not pitched the goodies yet!!! UGH I have secluded them to one hidden area... hoping to give a nice tray to my friend who is visiting today... then we'll be done. I am going to be a crap free household by 8 pm when DH gets home. He is making some great progress -- joined the Y this month and lost 17# and is using My Fitness Pal daily. So... I need to support him and pitch the crap.

I'm constructing the barbie house today and trying to catch up on laundry -- wish me luck.

trying really hard. no junk around here but there are some homemade sf lo carb cookies i made ffor myself to help avoid the other goodies at DD house but even those are a problem right now. they are going out to the deep freeze today,it is outside in the cold so will be less likely to go get one there.

Hitting thhhe protein hard ,including extra protein shakes.

I am thinking it is gonna take something really hard core like 4 ssshakes a day and a high protein meal at dinner to jumpstart my weight loss again.  Exercise too again when I am released to do that by my various three surgeons lol..

I REALLY want to get started losing again. nearly two years out and not at goal yet is not sitting well with me. still need to lose 50#.Though this is the first time ever I have maintained weight loss for any period of time,it ****** me off not to get to goal and is just unacceptable to me. guess I am gonna have to go "militant",lol.

Good for you Gina!!

I'm trying but not succeeding completely!   Last night I did really well at DGD's birthday party.  I avoided the snacks but did have a very small slice of cake and a tbs. of ice cream.  So far today I'm doing good.  I am up about 2 pounds but I'm sure it will be off soon.

I'm doing better since we are back home and I'm back at work.  I did good yesterday - no sweets!!  None so far today even though there is cake in the break room.

I made the Peppermint Mocha Protein Drink last night and it was great.  I think I'm going to add a protein drink in at night instead of other snacks!!

I'm not ready to chuck any goodies yet.  Fortunately I make most of my goodies low carb and high protein anyway so it usually isn't a problem.  I made some gluten free, sugar free chocolate chip oatmeal cookies with a bunch of protein powder and I have one or two of those a day without a problem.  I also bought some sugar free dark chocolate because I had been craving dark chocolate and I have a piece of that every day.
Since today is my birthday I will probably go to Baskin Robbins for some sugar free ice cream like I did last year at my birthday.  That will be my treat.  Usually I have protein ice cream.
The weight has stayed pretty stable since September so I made it through the holidays unscathed it seems.

Happy happy birthday, Tazz.    Those cookies sound good, can you post the recipe?  I haven't found SF chocolate chips around here but haven't checked at the health food store.  Walmart doesn't seem to have them.

I used Nik's recipe http://bariatricfoodie.blogspot.com/2011/12/bf-no-flour-cook ie-palooza.html  except I used chopped up Hershey's Special Dark sugar free candy instead of the raisins.  I have ordered some sugar free chocolate chips from Walmart to use next time.  I just ordered them online from Walmart.  It was only 97 cents to ship them.  I also added some protein powder to it and took out the pumpkin pie spices.  They came out great and not bad on protein, either.
I used a little less powdered Splenda and added some liquid Splenda because the protein powder made it a little dry.
