We're having a big pool party NYE.  We're heating the pool and the hot tub.  The low should only be 60.  It should be fun!

You really need to think about being a Protein distributor then you could buy all of that protein at cost or close to it. That's awesome your son is down 15#.  I wish I could get my DH is try them. He buys junk food every morning on his way to his first job.

We celebrate New Year's Eve with family and friends playing games.  At midnight we will have sauerkraut and pork and toast the new year in with non-alcholic sparkling juice.  On NY's day we usually don't do much but since it's on Sunday this year we will be going to church and probably to eat out if anything's open.

I go through 3 tubs a month.  DH would not even try it.  He won't try anything I fix hardly if it is different in any way - some of the things I fix now are really good...

The DGD's are coming to our house New Years Eve and we are having a spend the night party with them.  They are bringing their sleeping bags we gave them, but if it is too cold, we will have to sleep on the sofa sleeper instead of the floor!!  We will go to my SIL's New Years for Black Eye Peas, chicken and greens.  Another eating day - I'll be glad when the holidays are over.  Although I've done good so far.

I'm going to try a protein drink recipe that was posted on this website that a RNY patient created.  I'll let you know if it is good.

New Year is a serious business for us Scottish folk.  While it's not the same as being home, I'm still making most of the typical Scottish food (bariatric friendly or not)  It's only one day of the year so I'll be making Steak Pie with mashed potatoes lots of thick gravy and peas!

There will be sausage rolls, scotch eggs, shortbread and sultana cake etc.  Even though I won't eat the sweet stuff, I still have to have it around me for it to feel like Ne'erday.

Wow - that is a lot of protein powder in the kitchen in one morning!  What brand of protein do y'all use for your coffee? and why the 1/2 & 1/2?

I use IDS MultiPro vanilla-cinnamon in our coffee and Syntrax Nectar chocolate truffle in daytime shakes. The 1/2 & 1/2 is a little lower in carbs than regular milk and I need the additional fat since I malabsorb 80% of what fat I do eat. The guys are low carbing too so it's all good. DH gets his cholesterol checked every 3 months and it's lower than it was on carbs. Doc says keep doing what we're doing.

Thanks so much for the information. I'm only 14 days away and am making sure I have all of my lists in order.
