Good Morning. Time to fix the ...

protein shakes    So I start the morning fixing protein coffees form DH and me, fix another protein coffee for me, a chocolate protein shake for Son#2 and a big protein coffee for me to take to work. Whew! We go through a lot of protein powder and 1/2 & 1/2!  Good news is Son#2 is down a good 15 pounds since he got home from school. DH is maintaining and I'm maintaining fairly decent except for Christmas when we all slipped off the wagon a bit. So, this week it's back on the straight and narrow...until New Years--I'm on strike!  DH and Son#2 will have to figure that one out. I'm beat. Looking for ideas on how not to cook and have something here for them. Football is first priority ... maybe some deli trays, lil smokies, meat balls. I'm not wanting to do a big traditional New Year's Day meal. Burned out bad!

What are you doing for New Years?

Geeze, you need to buy protein by the 25# bag.  You have those guys way too spoiled.  They can mix their own protein.

We have never done a "big" meal for New Years but alway have some kind of beans and greens and pork.  black eyed peas aren't my favorite so I do some others usually with some kind of pork.  My collards in the garden look pretty rough so I guess I will have to buy greens.  The guys will either watch football on TV or golf if the weather is decent.  I usually take a pony for a drive but not this year.  Sure will be happy to be over this darn knee soon so I can get on with my life.

Don't laugh.  I bought 50 lbs of unflavored whey isolate.  I go through a lot.  I had bought 20 lbs and it was gone in a few months so I went and got 50 lbs.

I'm pre- opping it so protein shakes, veggies and 4 oz of lean protein for a grand total of 1000 calories.  This small amount of food will be easier with my new little pouch, right?

The thing that will do you the most good is the protein because it promotes healing. You're doing great

You will be amazed at how little you eat and how not hungry your are.  Yes, it will be lots easier.

I go though 2 huge containers of protein powder a month, just for me.

We'll be at my brother's for new years and my SIL is fixing fried shrimp and crab cakes. I'm happy because of the shrimp.

We'll actually be traveling home NY day and DD is cooking for when we get home. Monday it'll definitely be football and finger foods. I hardly cook except for Brok's pizza or steak on the grill. Thank goodness DH is OK with that. He's a long term low carber and has lst 60# in the last year.

Im getting ready to go back to my 2 scoops of protein and see about getting much much more. Also going to go back to logging my intake. New Years we do our normal thing, sit here and watch the ball drop. No plans here. Tomorrow is my 11 year anniversary so DH and I have a room for the night at the ocean front,no clue what we are going to do but we will be alone. It will be nice.
