Good Morning. Low carbing. I mean it--LOW CARBING...
...can I do it? It may be the wrong week to try but I gotta do it. I won't go crazy, I'll have some complex carbs but not the sugary ones. {sigh} Maintenance--bah!
Ok, what's on your mind today? Got any to-do's to get done?
Y'all have a good Tuesday.

You can do it Gina! You'll meet your goal.
Today I'm going to probably make a grocery list and go to the grocery store since my daughter is visiting for a couple weeks.
I'm going to exercise and get back on track with that after two missed days of it for the holidays (traveling and out of town).
Maybe I'll work on a presentation I'm giving in January based on Brene Browns book, "The Gifrs of Imperfection" and I'll keep hoping my dissertation chair will send me feedback on Chapters 1, 2, & 3 of my dissertation so I can make some progress!
I will try to fit a little HGTV in today but we'll see! HA HA!

Of course you can. It will be easier if you can clean out the house, LOL. I do best if I have lots of options which for me means left overs. Right now I have homemade chicken soup with only veggies and chicken, meat sauce, roasted chicken, beef roast, a hamburger, and eggs to choose from. Boredom does me in and I go hunting for something tastie to eat.
I have a staff training this evening but I think I have everything ready. All the new regulations that go into effect 1-3-12, yuck. Need to get the business accounts balanced and all the profit and loss stuff as up to date as possible to give myself a year end bonus. I don't mind paying my fair share of taxes but with the business, I pay 35 cents on the first dollar earned and I would rather pay it at my personal rate instead of 35%.
got to do my exercises, per usual. I think I am seeing some limited progress. Maybe it is just that I am sleeping better. Anyway, time passes and things get better.

You can do it Gina!! I'm right there with you only I'm still at my parents and they have all kind of junk here!! I have not done nearly as bad as I have in the past but still had several things I don't need to eat. Alot of mine is boredom while watching TV or while just talking....
Home tomorrow and the house is sugar free...I'm ready to get back to work and back on my schedule.

ME TOO!!!!! I am attempting to begin a carb detox beginning today. My sister, who has not had WLS did this over 1 month ago, maybe more. She even got through Thanksgiving and Christmas and did not fail. She said for the first time in her life she was able to do it. Anyway, she eats Miracle Noodles (Shirataki or something like that) each and every day in stir fry. She uses it to replace pasta, rice, bread, noodles, etc, and buys it online and at Whole Foods. One whole bag is only 40 calories, and with the other vegetables, she is totally satisfied. I have two bags in my refrigerator, and I plan on beginning today! Good luck to you, me and everyone else who is detoxing from all these pesky carbs we ate over Christmas and Thanksgiving.
Back to my normal eating and exercise routine this week. Last week I missed exercise due to being busy, tired, and an achy shoulder. Last night, I went to Spin class and feel so good, that I will do it again today. I am off work this week, so clean eating and exercise are at the top of my list. My weight is back into the normal high range for me. Sodium retention can really increase the poundage.

Helping DH today - he's decided that he wants to be able to move the bedroom flatscreen out to the hot tub and watch cable, so we're messing with connections.
I also plan on more knitting - I found a great cowl pattern (Sweet Georgia yarns, free pattern for a large cowl/scarf) that I made for work, and now want to tweak to use with my winter coat as a hat/scarf but I need a different color yarn and some larger needles to handle the yarn I want to use... would that I could simply follow a pattern and not feel the need to tweak!
Then DD and SIL are getting their new couch to go in their new town house later today, and we need to take our truck to pick it up from the store.
Busy day - as I too de-carb from the holiday!
