A Little Update

Well, I survived the holidays for the most part.  Still have my birthday to get through this Thursday.  My boyfriend is taking me out to dinner and I can't think of a place to go.  Any suggestions?
It's been 19 days without a cigarette and getting easier every day.  I have my moments but I still find more good things then bad about not smoking.  I have also found a way to make money online that is legitimate and between that and not smoking I am feeling a little better financially.  It's not a lot but enough to help with groceries and gas.
I am going back to school on Jan. 9th and I'm excited about that.  I will be taking medical terminology and anatomy and physiology as prerequisites to a medical coding class that I will be taking in the Spring.  I'm not too worried about the medical terminology classes since I always did good in that before but the anatomy and physiology has me nervous.  I really struggled with that when I took it before.  The classes will be online.  My daughter is also starting classes at the same time so this should be interesting.  Like I have said, it's been over 20 years since I've been in school so it will be a big adjustment.
The weight has been stable for about 3 months.  I would still like to gain some but I have faith that it will come.  I was saying in the M & M thread that I am increasing my protein to get prepared for my upcoming hernia surgery.  I am kind of nervous about going into surgery at this weight but I don't think they would do it if it wasn't safe.  At least I hope so.
I hope everyone has a good new year.

Hurray for you, Tazz.  The not smoking is a huge deal and I am really proud of you.  I also think school will be easier than you think.  You are a very bright lady and I bet you do fine.  Sounds like a great start to the new year.

Congrats on quitting smoking and going back to school.  A&P is tough especially online.  I just finished 101 with a B- and start 102 on Jan 9.  (Yes that is 3 days after surgery.)  One of my friends suggested the A&P coloring book.  Really, I'm getting one.  Good luck, study hard and don't worry no one will care what your grade is so just pass it!  I'm going back after 25 years and I know how you feel.

You have a lot going on now.  Congratulations on not smoking.  I know how hard it is.  Good luck in school.  I did it about 10 years ago.  I had to take English and speech those were hard for me because it had been so long.  I am probably not disciplened enough to do on line classes!!  Good luck.

That is SO wonderful about the smoking!!  You are doing awesome!

This will make such a big difference in your life and you just keep keeping on!

Also wonderful news about the school.....just take it step but step and you will do fine.  Part of this process is branching out......you have been through a lot over recent years and it is wonderful that you are trying something new....Good luck!!!

CONGRATULATIONS on 19  days smoke free

And for signing up for a challenging (  but very rewarding in the end when you have a useful and well paying new profession )  course of study .

Yes its  quite difficult to go back to school as an adult , particularly full time .

The good part is you can appreciate the opportunity more, and ( I at least )  studied WAY harder than most of my class .  I got the MOST out of it !

It does give you a new perspective and an entree into a new generation ...  and its a GREAT (  if tough)  experience .    YOU CAN DO IT !!

Ure a TOUGH , Strong  Lady Ladytazz ...  as well as a beutiful person inside and out ...  You deserve the BEST  !!   So glad U are showing up fo rUrself and FIGHTING for the life you deserve ..   huge hug

I think I had one of those 20 years ago when I first took A & P.  It sounds familar.
Thanks for the support.
