1. How many at your house (or where you are going) for the holiday?

2. How many little ones, and grown children?

3. Any special food traditions you have re-made to be WLS friendly?

1. Only 3 here for Christmas. DH, DS and me. DD doesn't have enough time off to travel so we will see her at Spring Break in March.

2. No little ones in the family yet. (other than fuzzy ones)

3. One food tradition we have for Christmas is eggs goldenrod for Christmas breakfast. I will do them and eat them, just not as much as before. Other years, I have made SF cheesecake, trifle, cobbler but I'm not doing much cooking this year. We also have creamed spinach and I will make it this year with low fat cream cheese, no butter or cornbread topping. We also usually have curried fruit but it makes so much and I don't want that much leftovers so this year, we will have SF cooked apples.

Man, all that sounds depressing, huh. Actually, we will have a wonderful holiday and I will enjoy the tales of your little ones and their holidays.

1.  How many at your house (or where you are going) for the holiday?
We'll be at home.  It is just me and DH.

2.  How many little ones, and grown children?
Christmas Eve, we'll our 7 month old granddaughter and 23 month old grandson for the day.  DS and DDIL are having an open house Christmas Day and need the time without babies to clean and prepare.  The 2 grandkids and a slew of other family will be there on Christmas Day.

3.  Any special food traditions you have re-made to be WLS friendly?
Fruit Salad is my biggest food tradition.  It is very WLS friendly, but, as usual, small portions.

1.  I think about 12 of us.   Im going up to my in-laws ranch.  So it will be a busy weekend for sure.

2. Just my 3 year old.   Well we can count my sister in-laws bun in the oven.  We are all really excited, including my daughter who just says she wants to hold the baby.   Then my cousins who are in high school.  So of course they get spoiled as well.

3.   My husband and I usually like to just stay home and make a ham and some fixings.   So this year since he is deployed, I havent dabbled into making anything.  Maybe next year.  Ill have to come to you guys for some yummy sugar free recipies.

3.      Any special food traditions you have re-made to be WLS friendly?

I haven't re-made anything.  I am just really careful to watch my sweets and carbs so I don't

1. On Christmas Eve at our house, there will be 6 of us - usually 7, but my nephew has just begun a job in Fort Worth,TX, and is working both the 24th and the 26th, so he's staying down there.  Me, DH, DD and her husband, and my brother and his wife.  Christmas day we go to DH's cousin in the evening, and there will be 30-50 people with everyone talking and no one listening to anyone else.  I always come home with a hang over, even if there's no sugar or alchohol involved.

2. At our house, little ones are the fur people and my 56 year old brother.  Grown children would be DD and her husband, and DH.  My sister-in-law and I are the only 2 adults!  At the in-laws... who can count? LOL!

3. We're doing a beef stroganoff with loin tips... good, melty, soft, beef that my pouch can tolerate!  The sour cream will be replaced by greek yogurt, and the dessert, a dark chocolate-pumpkin custart pie, will have the sugar replaced by splenda.  Christmas morning - no cinnamon rolls.  I can't figure out how to do those WLS friendly!

1.  How many at your house (or where you are going) for the holiday?
Christmas Eve is my our immediate family.  DH, me, our two children, their spouses and our 2 DGD's.
Christmas Day we go to my sister in laws.  Probably 13-15 adults, 2 teens, 2 little ones and Little Willie will go also.  We are headed to my parents when we finish eating and he gets to go with us at Christmas.

2.  How many little ones, and grown children?  We have different amounts at different times.  There are only 2 little ones.

3.  Any special food traditions you have re-made to be WLS friendly?  I have always made Chicken & Dumplings to take to my sister in laws that is what they want me to make - I don't think there is any remake to them.  I am doing them from scratch this year instead of using canned biscuits.  It has been a long time since I did them from scratch..hope they taste good.  I eat a little of everything - I think that is the key just to be very mindful of how much you eat.

We have no family around here so we make our own family. Normally we get with our good friends but because it is on a Sunday this year it is just us in the family. Not going anywhere.
2. How many little ones, and grown children?
Lets see...Little ones DH-39 DD -18 and DS#1- 14

The 4 of us but my FIL popped in for 30 minutes on his way to somewhere else.

2.  How many little ones, and grown children?

The youngest is 13, so not grown but not little either. And my son is 20 but he's never moved out so I don't think of him as a grown child either. Don't tell him though!

3.  Any special food traditions you have re-made to be WLS friendly?

I made cake pops this year and I made the brownie pops from scratch with no sugar except what was in the cocoa mix. But it's not a tradition. Our normal traditions are pretty WLS friendly as long as I pass on some of the carbs and stick to the lean protein and veggies. (Or bacon and eggs when we have those but we didn't this year.)
