Good Morning. If anyone is interested...
...we have a friendly secret LW group on FB. I know some of us aren't out of the closet about having WLS, this is a safe group that won't be plastered all over your profile for everyone to see. If you'd like to join us, please send me a PM so we can get you there. :)
I hope everyone will have a great Thursday and not stress too much about the holidays overtaking us...these too shall pass. Do your list, check it twice and be done with it.
What's on your to-do list today?

not much on my list today. Exercises as usual, last minute groceries since DS is coming home today for the weekend. That always means more food, more cooking going on. I'm making chicken veggie soup for supper tonight but I think I have everything for that. Still deciding on sides for Christmas dinner. Beef roast, creamed spinach, biscuits and ?????? DH will have to buy somekind of pie or something for desert. He and DS will go to Atlanta on the 26th to his sisters and will probably bring home tons of sweets. His family are the bakers in the group. I'm planning on slow, quiet and relaxed for the holiday.

I'm in pretty good shape for the holiday. I'm going to prep some stuff cabbages to be cooked off fully later and need to do a little laundry.
Fortunately I took a vacation day today, and can take care of all my little details at a leisurely pace. Unfortunately I brought my laptop home and need to check into work emails today because of a few outstanding issues. Oh well, I'm just glad to have a job in this environment.

Good morning Gina. I hope you have a good day, along with all the other LWs.
Im taking my daughter to day care, so I can go find a pair of skinny jeans that are not low rise. I bought an awesome new pair of boots and need the right kind of jeans to wear them with. :) Then it is home to do laundry and start packing for Christmas. We are going to my husbands parents ranch. It is going to be super cold and snowy, but should be fun. My daughter loves feeding the cows, horses and chickens.

Are you looking for a legging type, or the standard denim? Old Navy just came out with regular waist rock star leggings. I prefer the low waist, but it took weeks before I could find anything but the higher waist in blue.
I was supposed to do a contract evaluation today - kid is having significant trouble in school in Chicago, but he and mom and teachers report that he works hard. However, the school is just shrugging their collective shoulders and saying "oh well" about the whole thing (and yes, I have a consent to release info from the mom and talked to the school - uggghhh!). So I'm going to evaluate and see if I can find a pattern in how he processes information that might explain academic difficulties, or if it's more a matter of left over "gaps" from when he was younger and might not have had the work ethic he's reported to have now. However, he and mom both caught the creeping crud virus that's going around, so they cancelled.
So I'm knitting (finishing a pair of lined gauntlet style mittens for a friend), and wrapping presents while DH is at work. Oh - and trying to convince the young cat that the Santa head on the piano is NOT a cat toy that should be gifted to people who are sleeping!

There was no Old Navy in the mall I went to. But I was looking for the denim, to hold in my skin on my thighs. But I found a pair of Jeggins, at Kohls, that go to right below my belly button. I have a long torso, so those low rise are so uncomfortable. I didnt want to spend a lot of money of course because I am still losing. But Im so happy I found some for 20 bucks. When I go down another size I will check out Old Navy. Thanks for the advice where to look.
Now on to finish wrapping presents. All my daughters are wrapped since she is opening most of hers tonight on skype with daddy.

Christmas has been all done since before my surgery. Thank goodness.
Things are going extremely well here. I am getting at least 60 grams of protein, drinking at least 64 oz of water a day, and eating something other than broth....in which I cannot stand. I am not too sore anymore, just a little at night and mostly because I sleep on my side. Haven't needed a nap since I have been back home, and have no need for it at all, keep waiting for the sluggish tired feeling to come, and it's not so I guess I will take advantage of it now!
I have my (6 days early) 2 week post op today since my surgeon is off next week and I refuse to drive further than I have to (1 hour). Might hit up the mall to walk around a little. Nothing else really going on though!
