Back home already
I had a good experience with the surgery, and spent less than 36 hours in the hospital total. I couldn't sleep there at all, as the heart rate monitor keep blaring (my heart rate was 55-60), and the bed wasn't comfortable (actually, my back hurt worse than my belly
). I'm glad the doctor sent me home so soon because I'll make a faster recovery at home.
And it turned out that my hiatial hernia was much larger than it showed on the endoscopy, so he fixed that too. I haven't had an esophageal spasm since the surgery. Quite a change from 30-40 a day.
Thank you Dr G!
