I have to admit I was a bit deflated when I saw I had only lost three pounds.  I dunno I figured I would have lost more than that.  The dr says that's normal though.  My incisions are healing great he says and I go back in five weeks.  The best part is....I am at the soft food stage.  Man I'm telling ya that egg this morning was heavenly!!!  I learned today what it means to be full since I don't have any sensation of that at all.  The nurse said when I feel like I have food in my throat, you know...at the hollow part in your neck...she said that means I'm full, that maybe I ate a bit too much.  Anywho, other than the weight it was a great visit, very positive.

Soft foods stage....here I come!

The weight will come off. You have seen the success of so many others here on these boards. Be sure to track your measurements so when your body moves but the scale does not you wont be so frustrated.

it was weeks before I could eat a whole egg so don't pu****  Too much is very uncomfortable.

Don't worry about the 3 lbs.  They pumped you full of IV fluids in the hospital and you had to lose those too, so 3 lbs is great.  I was also very swollen and so I felt huge.  It does go away, along with the weight.  Keep with the program and you will be fine.

Yep...measurements will help you through the slowness. I am still amazed that the inches keep dropping!!!

Thanks for all the encouragement! I'm just so glad to be at the soft foods stage that I've not focused so much on the weight thing.  I do need to track measurements...I hadn't thought of that.  Time to dig out that tape measure.
