Good Morning. What's your poison?
I was addicted to Dr. Pepper, full strength, not diet. Probably a lot of the 100lbs I regained was from it. I would drink it by the gallon, just about. When I decided to quit that I had to bright idea to replace it with orange juice. I might as well been drinking pure sugar. That is probably where the rest of the 100lbs came from. I drink a lot and so I would just be chugging on that. Now I drink about a gallon of sugar free Crystal Light, heavily diluted.
My biggest addiction has to be bread. Especially sourdough bread. Hot. Slathered with butter. I haven't had any in over a year. I have gone out to eat and they bring that out and that is the only thing I wish I could have that I can't.

Oh gosh. I have more than I want to think about.
Salty. Like chips. I can do without them fine until there is an open bag around then I HAVE to have some. I can stop but not soon enough. Nuked pepperoni seems to take care of the craving when I have it.
Chocolate. I have started keeping tiny pieces, individually wrapped dark chocolate and allow myself 1 per day. So far I am ok with that. The chocolate chews and shakes did it for a while but not anymore.
Used to like ice cream but I'm fine now with the protein frozen stuff. I love really good homemade deserts with fruit but I just don't make them so am limited to when I am somewhere that has them, then I do tiny slivers.

Lurker popping in....great topic!
I allow myself in small portions most everything and don't "dump" but sometimes get lethargic from certain carbs or too much fruit..
I rarely indulge in potato chips or pasta. Potatoes are for weddings or Sabbath meal if I eat out by friends. I buy diet Black Beer (a cross b/w cola.and root beer) but drink about 2 oz at a time once or twice a day - a 1.5L bottle lasts 2 weeks in the fridge.

So many, many things. I keep saying I don't "cross the threshold yet" on trying so many things and mainly that is because right now I can just say I don't eat that, it might make me sick.
Today, someone brought in a biscuit for a veteran....I LOVE bacon, egg and cheese biscuits. Really wish I had NEVER tried one of those years before. I loved pasta, sugar, and cookies. Have not had any of this since surgery including bread. I still love the taste of sweet...that has not gone away (sugar free cool whip on my protein pudding makes me very happy!). I just ordered some more soy crisps and I had a debate over 5 days (in my head) if this was okay or not and would it be a trigger food. Diet coke was a previous staple in my daily life....thankfully I do not miss it.
Memories......

Oh,Mercy. chicken rice a roni can't even have it in the house. I used to eat the whole pan with cream of chicken soup on it when DH was OOT. Also, jelly beans, haven't bought them since preop and think I just won't buy them. Even though I don't crave them,if they are here ,I might start craving them and it would be a slippery slope for me.
Something I didn't care anything about pre surgery was Goldfish crackers and ritz bits. My DGSs eat these and they trigger me EVERY time. Haven't figured out how to deal with them yet,but am working on it.
Pretty much anything I liked pre op I still like: sweets, salty, doesn't matter. If I liked it pre op I like it now.
So,I pretty much stay as close to plan as possible and try to reproduce some of my favs to be WLS friendly or I deal with the item if I run into it somewhere else.

Well... let's see... swedish fish, brownies, marshmallows, candy bars, ice cream to name a few. What I am really really lucky for is that I can have one bite and walk away now. Not all the time, but mostly. At least there's not bingeing going on anymore. Have you ever eaten a whole bag of marshmallows?? Oh gawd... it's horrible! LOL
Prior to surgery my poision was hands down diet coke and anything sweet...haven't had but about two sips of diet coke since surgery and really don't care for it anymore at all, too salty. Since surgery I think my cravings are more related to texture than anything..they come and go but mostly I crave anything SOFT. I hate the way dense food makes my pouch feel which is the reason I drink protein shakes for two meals still..I know I have to keep an eye on this since "soft" foods often are not protein rich and that could lead to trouble after the honeymoon period ends...good topic, really took me some time to figure out what my poision was!
Lays potato chips and my beer. I don't allow the chips in the house and if I want to treat myself, I buy the 99 cent bag. Saw a 30 cent bag at Walmart this week that was real small - perfect! I didn't buy it, but that would be my go-to size if I can find it during the weak times.
My beer? I need to cut way back or give it up. Its the reason I've put on these pounds and I HAVE to get them off. I just enjoy it.

I have foods that I tend to eat too much of but only one food I will eat until it is gone. It's the Planter's Bone Health nut mix. I buy a can and I will eat the entire thing in one 24 hours period. It's crazy because I don't even like it that much.
