holidays

WHAT THE HE** is wrong with me????????   Yea, yea,  I know they didn't operate on our heads.  Damn,  maybe if I BANG it against the wall to compulsion will stop.  Or just get my head operated on.

I love the  sites and sounds of the holidays but I stress big time with them.  I want to run away and hide so since I can't I have been shoveling the food in.
Dealing with family that you see just a few times a year is hard. 

Having to make small talk and smile and pay attention all those days are hard.
Yes, being thin makes it so much more easier but it's still something I am uncomfortable doing.

Some day I may run away.......

This time of year is depressing to some people. Don't beat yourself up. Get plenty of sleep and take a deep breath and fake it...

I stressed over doing presentations in front of the class when I was in junior high. Sounds pretty juvenile but I was palm sweaty scared to do it. I even put it off because I was sure she was going to start on the other end of the room...Surprise, she started WITH ME. I couldn't afford to take the zero so I summed up the courage to fake it. The whole thing was off the top of my head and I went instantly from being painfully shy to being extroverted, albeit occasionally..Now none of my friends even believe that I was ever painfully shy but I definitely was.

A good bit of acting and it works. "FAKE IT." They're all doing it. They just have you fooled into thinking it comes naturally...

Koukla,  I so relate!  I LOVE and HATE the holidays at the same time!  I understand how stressful dealing with distant family can be, mine used to drive me crazy.

But be happy that you still have that particular stress.  My family (except my son) are all gone now, I have a hard time with that.

Maybe we could run away together??????
