side effect .... constipation

Hi Michelle,
Thanks for the tips and your daily formula that works for you.
I never ever had this problem till after my surgery.
I am delighted I had wls but OMG this constipation problem is rough.

It only took me 11 yrs of trial and error.

I might not need the stool softners (colace) any more. The mag ox made more difference than anything. But I'm not giving up the Miralax. After all those years of passing stool larger than my babies, I'm sticking with the nice predictable "rope" format. LOL

I agree with you on the Miralax.  It is a miracle!  No more plugging the toilet!  How embarrassing was it for me when I was at my in-laws and had to ask for a plunger?  I wanted to blame my husband!

I eat my poop cereal (Fiber One) and drink my poop medicine (Miralax) daily!

Bottom line though....I'd rather be poopy than fat!

I always say it stands for MIRAcle LAXative, but it isn't really a laxative. It doesn't MAKE you go, it LETS you go. Big difference.

I take my mag ox and my Miralax only when this issue is important, which is, oh, maybe daily? LOL
