Antibiotics and UTI's
Don't want to gross anyone out, but I have some questions about antibiotic absorption and recurrent infections.
I am currrently 16 months out and starting a few months ago I have been getting recurring urinary tract infections. No antibiotics seem to be doing the trick in completely killing it.
Has anyone else gone through something like this and might be able to share some ideas or feedback on what else to do?
I would greatly appreciate it!

I've had a few bladder infections since having wls and they always just prescribe Bactrim and it clears up right away. I hope they can figure something out for you that will work b/c its a terrible thing to have to go thru, especially over and over again. Good Luck!

I'm just getting over a bladder/kidney infection, that almost sent me to the hospital for IV antibiotics! I didn't know I had a bladder infection, until it got really bad and spread to my kidneys.....(dumb ass....)
But anyway, I ended up getting three different kinds of oral antibiotics, then my doc pulled out the big guns... One shot a day for six days. It finally cleared up. Thank G*d!
I hear that cranberry (pills not juice. Juice makes me dump) prevents any further flare-ups. I'm giving it a try. I'm taking CranActin by Solaray. One 400 mg capsule, twice daily. You can get a cranberry supplement at any reputable vitamin store. Give it a try and see if it works for you. My customers swear by it!
