Granted today I'm more stressed than I should be because he's not cooperating with me and complaining about the pain but still. I'm looking forward to tomorrow when I can escape and head off to work. This is why I didn't take up nursing..I have no sympathy.

Thank God I started out normal with my oatmeal.

Oatmeal, tvp, soy milk, fruit added
24 oz bottle of water
24 oz bottle of water

Snack: protein bar

Lunch: 1/2 a chicken quesadilla from Tom's #28 on the way home from the surgery. Brought it home to eat it.

Dinner: That low carb bell pepper recipe. I didn't have an onion that was worth using but I had onion flakes...I added some red pepper flakes while i was at it and some Chicago Steak seasoning...Mixed in the cream cheese (fat free) and some ketchup and it was AWESOME...hubby even liked it.

Looks like you hit right where you wanted to. Keep that protein number high and the other numbers low and you should do just fine. Maintaining is the key. If you can figure out where you need to be to maintain you can adjust up or down to go where you want to.

Good job!

Sorry I am so eratic. Life happens and I can't get time to post!

B) EAS protein drink
L) 1 bite of aweful BBQ chicken, 1/8 cup baked beans, 1/2 cup scalloped potatoes, 1 tablespoon turnip greens
S) 1 large meatball with marina sauce and 1/2 5 inch breadstick
D) 1/2 cup ground beef curry with green peppers, onions and potatoes and 1/2 a small pita
S) 40 cal toast with peanut butter, probably 1 tablespoon

I got about 1,300 cal with maybe 75-80g protein, protein being my biggest issue. My carbs are high, but so far, no fallout!

Don't I know it! Life gets so crazy around here, I sit down to post and something happens. Yesterday (or the day before) there was a crash in the kitchen. I remember hearing it but didn't want to go and investigate. Turns out the shelf in one of my cupboards fell. When I put it back up, I put it higher and accidently made more room in  there. Think I need more pots and pans now to fill up the space!

The only thing that I could see that was high carb was the potatoes and those are good carbs, I feel. Now the breadstick wasn't but it was half so it shouldn't count all that much in the carb column. Pita might be considered bad but...Not by me.

Your looking good...

NO DOUBT! I'd want to sleep too. Looks like you did good anyway. I didn't keep track at all for two solid weeks when we were on vacation. I thought I'd have a hard time logging in but turns out there are Wi-Fi areas all over this country...crazy..

You did really good. I love grits. I'm hoping to switch my oatmeal for grits this winter a couple of times but I'm such a creature of ha*****ell, that would be stuck in a rut in any plain language!)

Keep up the good work and get some rest!

Yeah, I'm not that sympathetic with my husband either, mainly because even with a mild cold he moans as if he were dying. I know-I sound horrible. Anyway, I'm glad the stuffed peppers worked out-yum!

Black tea, 2 cups
3 protein drinks-1 Met Rx (yucky but I don't want to waste it) and 2 Champion Whey Stack chocolate (the only protein drink I've ever had that actually tastes good)
1/2 low carb stuffed pepper
1 grilled chicken drumstick
Low-carb flaxmeal bread with butter
Salad with salami, parrano cheese, almonds, tomatoes, carrots, and balsamic vinaigrette
1 americano with half and half (I'm cutting back!)

Calories: 1,131
Protein: 112g
Carbs: 26g

Not at all horrible to me. I'd really have liked to shoot him but I hear that's still illegal in most states. LOL. All we need is a female judge whose married to an old man and we'd never be convicted, I figure.

Have you tried those Met RX bars? I hate those too but darn they are expensive to try...I just dont' even get tempted to try them anymore.

Hey, those low carb peppers were AWESOME...I'm gonna have to do that again. I told hubby that it was good but I couldnt' explain the recipe cuz it was a dump recipe (dump in alittle of this, alittle of that...till it looks okay and bake...)

I ate a WHOLE pepper last night. That's how I know there was no carbs in it...Had it had rice in it, half would have done me completely in!

Yesterday went OK - I was attempting the 5dpt but have just decided to do back to basics since 1/2 way through day 2 my desk was looking appetizing ;)

Yesterday:
protein shake
2 scrambled eggs with lf cheese
2 oz beef, 1/2 cup beans
2 scrambled eggs with lf cheese (again)
1 cup irish tea with milk and splenda
Plenty of water!

I didn't get my fruits and veggies in but I REALLY need to go to the grocery.

Today.... so far so good.  I am so thankful for this board and am glad to be back actively participating and being accountable -

Thanks to you all!
