Where do you get them?  Specialty stores, order them?

I get them at the local Ralph's (Kroger) market they are in with the tofu and udon noodles.

I believe you can purchase the noodles at some specialy markets.  If I remember correctly; they are mostly available in California.  They have to be shipped to you, and it is rather costly.  Do an engine search on shirataki noodle, and you will find loads of information on ordering.  Good luck.

I eat these noodles quite often. Yes, they are filling, but they don't expand in my stomach and make me sick like grain pasta or rice does. Try them-they're great!

Vi, Sheren, and Schmeesa,
Thanks, I am going to look for them!  I am assuming you use them in recipes for regular stuff?  Any interesting ways to use them?

Hi there, yes, you can use them like regular noodles. Make sure you run them under water for a few minutes in a colander-they have a sort-of fishy smell when you take them out of the package, but it goes away when you rinse them. My favorite way to use the shirataki noodles is to stir-fry some chicken and veggies in a spicy peanut sauce, then add the noodles and stir-fry at a high heat. I've also used them in tuna casserole-they're great!

Hi Jessica B,

I would try a bag or two as a test first, they come in different wannabe pasta types. I personally tried 3 different types and couldn't stand them  and I can eat almost anything! They tasted like chewy rubberbands. I'll stick with brown rice and whole wheat pasta.
