Hi Everyone,

Well I am 14 months post-op today.  I am feeling very good.  So far no major complications.  I do have acid reflux from the surgery, but as long as I take my medication everyday I am okay.  I am in a size 8 WooHOO!!!!  I never wore this size before in my whole entire life.  It was strange the other day, I went to the store to by some jeans. I am so used to going to the plus size section, so that's wear I went first.  I thought I would find size 8 there, then I realized that size 8 was not there and I had to go to the misses area, it was just a strange feeling.  I haven't lost any weight for a few weeks now, but I am maintaining, which is fine with me because I am below my goal by 14lbs.  I just never thought that this could happen for me.  I am actually eating healthier, and I am finally enjoying so many things that I thought I would never enjoy in my life.  I am greatful for today because tommorrow is not promised to anyone.  Sometimes I think I am going to wake up and fine this too be all a dream, but I find out everyday that dreams do come true.  I want to thank everyone on OH for your support, it keeps me in check on what I need to do everyday, like taking my vitamins, excersizing, and eating right.  Thank you so much again.  I pray that all of you continue to have a healthy and successful journey.

I am right there with you. When you out grow (or is it un grow) the 8s you might take a gander at the junior section...I may or may not be able to find stuff that fits there but it's sure fun to look...Now that my hips have "grown" back, I have to return to the misses section...shucks!
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Before Surgery: 214
Highest Weight: 240

Great job Melissa!

One of the hardest things for me was the selection of clothes, I was a little bewildered.  I was so used to the limited styles in plus sizes.  It was such a change to choose by what looked good, instead of what fit!

Enjoy!
