Hi! This is my first post. But I thought I might be of some help. Just have the
complete CBC and add protein, iron, and calcium. That's all I can think of.
It's a good start. Good Luck, Terry.
More soon!
P.S. My surgery was August 13, 2002. I started at 298, my highest was 333,
down to 135 in 2004, now back up to 187. Help!!!!!!!!!!!! Any suggestions on how
to lose about 50 pounds when I am still unable to eat very much and am eating
just as I was when I lost so much weight. Any and all replys welcome!

This is extensive, but it works:

Lab Tests recommended for Gastric Bypass patients

Regularly (every 3-6 months depending on your previous results)

Keep track of any levels that are declining from one set of tests to the next, even if not yet in the low range.  Make any corrections necessary in your diet and vitamin regimen before the levels get too low.

Thanks for this list. I've c ross c hecked with list from vitalady anad the codes are totally different. Numbers don't correspond. When I ask for these, I want to make sure the health care provider knows what they are - I've had a problem with them knowing "which" vitamin D to order. Any suggestions? Are there not universal test numbers in the US? Thanks. Torrie
